Albus was still plenty pissed off from the sudden loss of Ghost. He had gone to Diagon Alley to look at more owls, but he realized that he couldn’t replace the bird. He’d had him for six years and there wasn’t another owl that could come close to him. Even owls that looked exactly like him couldn’t hold a candle to him. It was because Ghost had a personality. People would argue with that, would say that he could make the same kind of bond with other owls, he knew that he couldn’t. Ghost had been born to be his owl.
He was out by the lake, wearing shorts and no shirt, no socks, no shoes. His shirt was on the ground, behind him. He had a hand full of pebbles and he was throwing them into the lake. He hadn’t wanted to return to school. Anymore, all he wanted to do was stay at the manor with Bella all day. It wasn’t as bad as when Callie broke up with him. He still wanted to be around people. Albus was forced to return to school though. He was told that the only way he could remain a death eater was if he graduated from school and with the way things were looking now, that wouldn’t be for a very long time. The only cla*s that he wasn’t failing was transfiguration.
He watched the pebble he’d just thrown skip across the lake and through another one. After watching that one come to an end somewhere, he picked more up and skipped them. Maybe he should find one of his friends. It was kind of boring here alone and it was never this boring with his friends. They always knew what to do to keep him happy, though it wasn’t that hard to guess. As long as he had candy, he was happy. Albus threw another pebble, thinking about where they were lying now and if they would stay down there forever. Most likely they would. He had a particularly big one in his hand and threw it into the lake. He actually threw it. It was too hard to skip it. It hit the water and sank right down to the bottom.
He skipped another one and was about to do the last one when he heard his name.

Dannie had nothing really well anything to do. She had her homework but she wasn't going to do that. It was boring history of magic. She had no idea though that Severus needed some comforting in anyways. She sat there in the common room and sat there and thought about what she could be doing at the present moment. She had been trying do the History of magic a*signment. It was quite boring and no one was around and she wished though that they were around to help her out.
She decided to go for a walk around the school for a while to see if that could get her brain to work right. She walked along the seventh floor to the next level down and so on. Still thinking what her essay could use and how she could make the History come alive. She wasn't sure how she was supposed to do that and work everything out right. She knew that this was one of her cla*ses that she was failing and that wasn't really good at all. She wanted to pa*s the cla*s with a somewhat pa*sing grade.
Still walking around she had no clue what to write or say on her homework a*signment. In fact she had no idea where her feet were taking her. She hadn't realized that she was outside at all. She had no clue that she ended up at the Black Lake. She instantly stopped when she saw a tree. She loves climbing trees. In fact she hadn't even noticed Albus sitting there for a moment. She was about to climb the tree when she noticed him there. She walked over to him. "Hey Severus how's it going? And how's Annabella?" she asked him with a smile on her face.

Albus looked up as he bent down to get more pebbles. He was a little surprised to see Dannie. He hadn't really spoken to her in awhile and never really got the idea that the two were friends, at least not close friends anyways. Albus didn't really trust her, but he didn't show it and anymore, there was no reason to not trust her. He'd been a spy and knew the marks of one. She really didn't seem like she could be one. "Hey, Dannie. Bella's fine. I think I make her very happy." And that went both ways. Bella made him very happy.
He skipped another pebble. It didn't go very far though. It only did two skips before coming to rest at the bottom of the lake. Albus skipped another one-and that one didn't go very far either, skipped only twice again-and looked up at the sky, as though expecting Ghost to come flying by with a letter to him. He shook his head. Ghost was dead. He would never fly by again and Albus knew that ti was time to forget about him and get another bird, but he didn't want to replace his first owl. He looked back at Dannie. "Why don't you stay awhile? Grab some pebbles. Did you hear about Ghost?"
He wondered what had happened with her and Scorpius. He always thought that they liked each other, then he had heard something about him and shay, which was just stupid because Shay was in love with Lorcan and now he was hearing things about he and Rose. It wasn't that Albus didn't want her to date Scorpius, but he knew that Zany Abercrombie liked her and they would make a better couple. "If you don't mind me asking, Dannie, what happened between you and Scorpius? I always thought you two liked each other, but now I've been hearing things about him and Rose. I don't get it."

Dannie smiled when he said that he and Annabella was doing fine. She was glad to hear that. She was excited about a lot of things that were happening. She was still in the Gang and wasn't well whatever happened. She looked at Albus for a moment and wondered if they were really friends and if he really did trust her much. She trusted him and she knew it. She sort of thought of him as a friend. Well one she was getting to know!
Dannie stood there and thought about it. She looked at him for the moment and then nodded her head. "Okay but I don't know how to skip rocks." she admitted to him. She looked at him for a moment. "Ghost?" she asked him for a moment. Then she remembered it was his owl. "Oh your owl." she said said with a small smile. "No I haven't heard about Ghost. What happened to him?" she asked him for a moment and sat there on the ground.
She looked at him for a moment. "I don't mind you asking Severus." she told him for a moment. She listened to the question for a moment. "I do and still do like him. And I'm pretty sure he still likes me. He kissed my corner of my lips at the airport." she said for a moment. "Wait a minut him and Rose?" she asked him for a moment. She thought about it for a moment she looked out at the lake. She had heard something about it. She just now thought it may just be true. She looked out to the lake with a shock look on her face. "It can't be true." she said for a moment.

Albus thought about Bella and wondered if she'd be bothered by him quitting the gang. It wasn't like he had actually quit yet, but he was thinking about it. And even if he did, he wasn't going to join the army and not just because he'd probably never have a shot to. No, he wouldn't join the army because people would say that he was like his father after all. It was bad enough he'd probably have to deal with that now. Albus had never fought to keep Callista, but he was going to fight to keep Bella. He sure hoped that this didn't come between them.
Albus laughed when she said that she didn't know how to skip rocks, but his laughs sounded different now and he wondered if they would ever return to normal. The death of his owl hurt him more than he would let anyone see. "I don't know how to skip them, either," he admitted. "I'm just throwing. If they skip, the skip. It's no big deal if they don't. This isn't a competition." Albus looked at the the horizon and threw another pebble. At first, he thought that he saw white there, but he realized that it was his imagination. "He's dead," he said, softly. "I think he was killed. It seems impossible to have died of natural causes. He wasn't that old."
He hoped Scorpius did still like her. He didn't want him near Rose and only for the sake of saving the good relationship that she and Hugo had. Albus was sure that Hugo would hate them if she started dating Scorpius. He has alot of issues. It's a good thing that he has a good relationship with his sister. He would kill to have that relationship with his. "I don't want it to be true either. Why don't you confront him on that? And don't mention me. He might take it the wrong way if I do it. My family isn't the close knit family that we used to be. I need to protect those relationships that still are."
