Being a Hufflepuff, Dumbledore's Army supporter, Traitor to a death eater family, she shouldn't be going down to the dungeons at all, but going down there this late at night was dangerous in itself. This was her second year at Hogwarts and the only times that she had ever gone down to the dungeons was for potions lessons and she didn't like going down there then. But now, here it was, two in the morning and Kai Bletchley was wandering the dungeons, hoping that the Slytherins were too busy sleeping than to mess with her.
Ha! Hadn't she heard somewhere that Slytherins never slept? That they were too busy torturing some poor, unfortunate soul? If she wasn't careful, she would be that poor unfortunate soul. Well, either way, they couldn't very well cause her more pain. Because she was a wizard, she couldn't be adopted from the orphanage and she wasn't wanted in the wizarding world. Maybe Miles was right. Maybe she did deserve to die. Kai would probably be better off dead. She sighed as she thought about it. Or maybe she should join the gang just to feel wanted. No, that was out of the question. The gang were bad people. They wanted everyone dead. They brought people down. Why would anyone want to join the gang?
Kai heard something and spun around quickly, but sighed in relief when she saw that it was only a ghost. She decided that it was time to go back upstairs to her common room. She was walked up the steps slowly, but when she reached the top, she had to go back downstairs, as she had spotted a teacher and she didn't want to get into trouble. Kai reached the dungoens again and leaned against the wall near the stairs. The professor couldn't be there all night. She would check it out every so often. She hoped that the teacher would be gone soon.
