Cammi was down in her common room when she decided that she and Kong needed to get together. She hadn’t seen him in awhile and wanted to make sure that he was okay. She was in love with him, though she wished that they had been sorted into the same house because she would’ve been able to watch out for him more. Cammi hoped that he was still working on his English and that he was getting better. Last time she had seen him, he was still unable to speak it. She sent a letter to him, telling him that she wanted to see him. She told him to meet her in the great hall before dinner time. She decided that she was going to tell him finally that she liked him and wanted to be with him.
Of course, if they did get together, she wasn’t going to tell Julian. He might do the same thing to him that she did to Poppy. The only difference was that Poppy could deal with it and she wasn’t sure if Kong could. No, it was better to not tell him. Besides, it wasn’t any of his business if she dated anyone. Not even her twin sister was going to know that she was dating anyone, if Kong wanted to be more than friends. Cammi didn’t think that he would, though. This was going to change their friendship, but he needed to know that she liked him, really liked him. She could only hope that Kong wasn’t scared away by her coming clean. She didn’t want him to run off on her and not be her friend after that.
About twenty minutes before dinner, Cammi left the common room and headed downstairs to the great hall. As she expected, the room was empty and probably would be for about ten minutes. They had plenty of time to talk. She would sit at the Ravenclaw table, which was the house that she really wanted to be sorted into, and wait for him. Instead of sitting on the bench, she actually sat down on the table itself and kicked her shoes off, looking at the door. Cammi hoped that he showed up soon. She didn’t want to have to cut their meeting short because students were arriving for dinner.
