Victoire had kept her promise to herself. Tonight, she was free from the "prison" (aka the Ministry). Tonight, she was going out. Vic planned on going somewhere she just knew she wouldn't run into the one person she was trying to get over. Victoire pledged never to get back together with Theodore Lupin. Usually, she did the breaking up. This past time, it was him, and it hurt her more than words could express. Victoire Weasley was finally through with Teddy Lupin. They tried to remain friends, for workplace sake but, Vee felt extremely bitter toward him, and wasn't very nice. She did try but, when he talked about all these girls he was with - she hated him even more.
So, tonight Victoire was out to forget all about him. She was going to find herself a new man. Someone who wouldn't take her heart, run away with it, and break it. No, she was going to be the heart breaker this time around. Victoire went shopping the week before and bought herself a hot little number. She found herself pretty excited to wear it. Victoire dolled her self up, doing her make up and hair, and added a few sprays of her favourite perfume. She curled her long golden hair, deciding to just leave it down. It really didn't matter what she looked like - men would still find her attractive - Veela qualities.
However, the only place she ended up going to was the Leaky Cauldron. Her chances of seeing Ted anywhere outside Hogwarts right now were slim. Vic found herself at the bar, alone, ordering herself a small gla*s of firewhiskey. She asked the bartender to leave the bottle. He said nothing about it but, his gaze lingered on her for a little while. She felt his eyes on her. Nothing new.
After only thirty minutes, Victoire had a quarter of the bottle gone. It only made her feel more pathetic. She glanced around the room. Vic had little doubt that she could take any one of these blokes home with her. Only problem was that she didn't want just any bloke from a pub, there was only one that she watned. Victoire just felt stupid for ever believing that would actually happen. With a heavy sigh, Victoire stared in her gla*s, refilling it. She heard the chatter around her, the door openeing, cool air flowing in the pub. It didn't affect her. Her body was warm from the whiskey. She heard footsteps thuding near her, she wondered who had walked in. Victoire refused to turn and look.
