There was one thing on Victoire Weasley's mind this afternoon and that was chocolate. Things had been a little stressful at the Ministry. For the past few weeks, she had been either been guarding Minister Simpson - where ever he maybe at any given time - or guarding his home, or at her small flat getting sleep before her next shift. It had been weeks since his attack but, the Ministry's security hadn't lifted yet, no thanks to his wife. She was persistent on keeping her husband surrounded with Aurors. Vic simply understood that she wanted her husband protected, and she was proud to be chosen for the job but, she hadn't been prepared for the extra stress on her body.
On a normal human being, the sign of stress would show. One would normally have dark circles under the eyes from lack of a good night's sleep. The exception, having a bit of Veela running through your veins. Victoire couldn't remember the last time she had a solid nights sleep. Sure, she got to go home and sleep but, it wasn't a peaceful sleep. Victoire was always prepared for anything to happen, someone could send her their patronus at any time if anything happened to the Minister.
The a*signment had been exciting in the beginning. Now, it was getting to be dull and too routine for her. Victoire was ready for a change. She had been thinking, for the past week, that maybe her position could be moved somewhere else. The Minister had two sons at Hogwarts, maybe she could go there, as some precaution or something. Even that change had a problem lying in it. If Victoire requested such a position, she would have to deal with personal affairs. For one, most of her cousins were there. Second, Theodore Lupin taught there.
Part of Victoire was glad that she had gone against the want to teach at Hogwarts, and go for an Auror instead. It put distance between her and Teddy. She hoped things would cool off, and she could finally separate herself from him. Yeah, well, that idea pretty much flopped. With all this time of watching and waiting for absolutely nothing to happen on her patrols, Vic had tons of time to think. She hated it so very much. Recently, Victoire realized that after seven years of dating Teddy on and off - she was completely, absolutely, over-the-moon in love with him. Every time Victoire thought of love, watched a romantic movie, saw a couple snogging at some restaurant or pub - he was the only person she thought of.
All this wrapped up inside her head with several loose strings. Chocolate was the only thing that could calm her down. So today, instead of going to her flat to sleep, Victoire was going to her favorite confection shop to get a stock pile of chocolates. Her favorite thing about the shop she was just walking into, was that there were plenty of free samples.
She was greeted when she walked in. As always, Victoire beamed at the shop boy and said a hello. She had seen him there before, as he looked awfully familiar. Vic had become a regular to this shop, nothing escaped her notice. Nothing had changed since she had last been in several weeks ago. Victoire wasted no time heading to a case of different truffles toward the back corner of the shop. There were so many different kinds from vanilla filled, to triple fudge.
Victoire took her time, reading the little signs on each tray. Descriptions of the chocolates were written on these signs. She knew what most of the chocolates were but, there were a few new items she decided to check out, and taste. There was one in particular she just had to try. This candy had a creamy vanilla filling, covered in dark chocolate, and lightly drizzled with white chocolate. It was three of her favorite things all in one. Vic was about to get the shop boy's attention to see if she could sample it when she heard someone behind come up behind her.

Rax loved chocolate. It was probably one of his favorite things in the world. And, seeing as he had not had any that he had gotten in quite some time, he had decided that now was as good a time as ever to go and procure some. It wasn't like he could send a letter home requesting it. No, the boy was relatively on his own in the department of procuring those things that he wanted when he wanted to get his hands on them. Not to mention he did enjoy stretching his legs as well as getting away from Hogwarts every now and again. There was so much that went on there, and so much pressure that he felt was dumped upon him, that he just needed some time to himself to get away from said scene.
And so for this precise reason he was walking down Diagon Alley towards the provider of said chocolate with a collection of money in his pocket with which to buy it. The street always seemed to be so bustling and full of life, and it certainly made him considerably happier than when he was forced to listen to jeers and taunts. Here, at least, he could blend in with some reasonable a*surance and not have to worry about anybody stereotyping or the like. Diagon Alley was far too busy for people to care about the fourth year Malfoy walking through the streets, not in his robes but still gladly displaying the colors of Gryffindor in the reds and golds in his sweater.
He approached the confection shop in question with rising spirits. Chocolate sure was a way to soothe any problems you might be facing. It was hard to truly feel upset when you could be eating some wonderfully flavored chocolate from such a fine shop as this. The chocolate was guaranteed to make one feel better, and he was certainly in the mood for a pick me up. He pushed open the door, walking into the shop and looking about.
Considering the distance from the school, Rax was not quite as much of a regular as the other person in the shop, but he had come here a few times over the summer holidays and at times where he needed to get further away than Hogsmeade provided. So it wasn't all that unfamiliar, but he was still learning the shop and those who ran it. It was not terribly crowded, which was another plus, and the only person besides the shop tender he saw was a woman who was looking over the cases whom was indeed quite beautiful. She seemed as intent upon getting chocolate as he was.
He perused the chocolate selections for a few moment, before picking out that which he desired. Chocolate with a strawberry filling. Which was nearly as good as chocolate covered strawberries, another favorite of his. The shop tender was over by the woman who was here, and so he started over that way in order to complete the transaction so that he could leave with said chocolates. "Hello, I would like...," he started, before stopping. It seemed the woman had already called for his attention. Mentally slapping himself for being so rude, he turned to her. "I'm sorry, ma'am. I did not mean to interrupt...," he said, trying not to sound too terribly embarra*sed. The rules of refinement drilled in him as a Malfoy would not be easily forgotten....

The shopboy acknowledged the new customer with a brief glance. Victoire, however, had stolen pretty much all his attentin. In the split moment, Vee heard the voice of a young boy behind her. She paid him no attention, giving her order to the shopboy. As he gathered her order, Victoire then turned around to speak to the boy behind her.
Vic gave him a small smile, not recognizing him from anywhere. He seemed young, which meant he had to be a Hogwarts student. "It's alright," she said kindly. Vic wasn't one to be mean, especially to a young person. She could remember back to her younger days, coming her. She had a tendency to skip ahead of others due to her over excitement. "Do you come here often?" she asked to make light conversation.
This boy had to belong to Hogwarts. Vic wondered why he was all the way here. Then again, she had done the same then back then too. Only on Hogsmeade trips. She managed to escape somewhere in Hogsmeande and come here, only after she learned to Apparate.
ooc; sorry that's like way shorter.
