She was sitting against the wall in the corridor on level five, reading a book about the history of dark magic. Something about it seemed so interesting to her and she was actually considering joining the gang. She just didn’t want her father or siblings to hate her and she was sure that they would, especially since her father’s brother had been murdered by death eaters in the battle of Hogwarts, against Voldemort. Cammi would be fine, just reading it. If she didn’t care so much about her family and what they thought…
Reading it out in the open probably wasn’t smart, but if her brother came across her, then all she had to say was that it was for cla*s. He couldn’t very well tell her what they were learning in History of magic when he wasn’t in that cla*s with her. Yeah, that would be what she told people that asked. She was merely reading it for cla*s. Cammi was someone that took her studies semi-serious. People could believe that, unless if they were in the same cla*s with her.
It really was somewhat interesting. It was talking about Voldemort and the choices that he had made both the wrong ones and the right ones, which weren’t many, apparently. It spoke of the dark time before the war and the battle of the department of mysteries and it mentioned her uncle, as one of the victims of the war. This was obviously written by a dark wizard because it mentioned that he was weak and what she’d heard from her father was that Colin Creevey wasn’t weak.
Her father wasn’t mentioned, but then, she didn’t think that he fought. He was young when the war broke out. He’s years younger than her mother and it’s amazing that they even got together. Cammi went back to the book, trying to stop her thoughts going to her family. She turned a page and read a paragraph about how voldemort was killed and why it happened. It even mentioned how to prevent it from happening. How many people would take it seriously? She laughed as she heard someone approach her.
