Shane found it great to be back in the magic world. He could meet up with all his old friends, see about that lovely woman that he had a thing for. Part of him felt bad that he couldn’t have been there to help his sister sooner but he knew there wasn’t anything he could do about it now. He just hoped that she could get over it. He knew that they both had to endure really hard times but he just enjoyed to laugh everything off and move on. Or focused on something that he could hang onto with a slight ounce of hope that the girl he liked wasn’t seeing anyone just yet.
He glanced at a picture that he got from her the last year and he could feel his heart skipping as he knew that he was now about to come face to face with her. He’d see her around and he did stop to make a few pa*ses at her but never really set anything and when the war broke out-he quickly shook his head. That was a time frame he didn’t want to remember or get into. Not yet anyway. He threw on a leather jacket and started out towards Diagon alley. Just with a pure simple hope that he’d run into her. Since he just got back he didn’t want to seem too eager or desperate to get in touch with her. He wanted to be smooth and cool over the deal and since he knew her, had a crush on her but not really on the friend line, he didn’t want to go out of his way to ask her to meet him. He tucked the now folded picture of her up and stuck it in his back pocket.
Once on Diagon Alley, he glanced around before he went down to the ice cream place. He knew it was slightly the unofficial gang hang out ever so often. At least that way he could also get something to eat, drink and be completely casual about it. He also figured that if he so happens to run in to her, he could always ask her to join him for a treat. Which deep down, that was exactly what his heart was hoping and betting on.
