Out of all the places that they could go, he wasn’t sure what made him choose Italy. He had thought that both he and Eric would enjoy going there. He did know his boyfriend well enough to make that decision. Of course, nothing was written in stone yet. Eric might just decide that he wants to go somewhere else. The tickets could be changed in for another destination and another flight. Phoenix didn’t mind spending a couple more hours at the airport. It could be cozy there with Eric.

A smile had slowly formed on his lips, but when he got to thinking of the cost of all this, it faded. He wasn’t sure if he’d have enough. They may not get a hotel room and they may not be able to eat. Hopefully, Eric has enough money for something’s on this trip. Phoenix might be able to get them a hotel room, but food would be a privilege on this trip. If they didn’t have enough money, they could always cancel the trip until they do, but he doesn’t want to do that. They needed to be together, away from England and the distractions of school.

They won’t be gone long. They could easily catch up when they get back. He was more worried about Eric then himself. Eric was leaving at the end of this year. He didn’t want to be responsible if he failed and got held back. Eric was smart. He was convinced that they guy could catch up and even help Phoenix catch up. He leaned against the counter as the lady behind it asked him if she could help him. Phoenix shook his head and kept an eye out for his boyfriend, hoping that he showed up soon. He really wanted to get this trip started.

Eric grinned when he got the letter. It really was about time to get out of town with Phoenix for awhile. School was annoying and stressful and with the DA being in their control, they were under ten times more stress than other students and Eric would be graduating school this year and with the stress of final exams, he would be dead by the end of term without this vacation. The exams maybe a long time away yet, but it seems to be the favorite subject with most teachers. Actually, no, not most. It was the favorite subject of all the teachers.

He ran up to his dorm, got down his biggest luggage case and started piling clothes in there. He wasn’t very neat and the clothes were just thrown in. Eric didn’t care that they would be wrinkled. He was old enough to use magic outside of school. He could always take out the wrinkles when he unpacked. He could have used magic to pack them, but believe it or not, the muggle way was quicker than using the wand, at least when you didn’t fold your clothes first.

He used his wand for one thing and that was to carry the case out of the school and into the knight bus, which he took to the airport, but then he had to carry it, as no magic can be done in a muggle airport. Eric should mention to his father that they should build an airport in the wizarding world, so they wouldn’t have to go to the muggle world. It really was out of the way. Shoot, his parents. He forgot to write to them to tell them about where he would be. They probably wouldn’t approve of him leaving school, but they did need to know where he would be.

He would do that later because right then, he saw Phoenix at the counter. He smiled and walked over to him. “Hello, Phoenix,” Eric greeted and then looked at the clerk. “Excuse me, Ma’am, where’s the gate to go to Italy?” She pointed; he thanked her and looked back at Phoenix. “I’ll race ya,” he said, playfully and started walking to the gate, lugging his luggage case behind him.
