School had been back for awhile, over a month, but living on the streets never fully left. He still had a sorry excuse for a beard on his face and his hair was messed up. Not too mention the fact that he had a black eye for daring to be so open about his sexuality. Junior hadn't wanted to live on the streets and he wanted to return home, but his mother wouldn't accept him back and he could stay with Zeke. Thier relationship needs to be kept a secret or he would end up losing his job.
He supposed that a part of him probably liked that idea, but another part didn't because if he got fired, they wouldn't see each other that much, especially during the school year. Junior kept reminding himself that next year, the two could date. Sure, he'd still be in school, but he'd be 17 and could date whoever he wanted to. They can't sack someone for dating an adult, now could they? That could be termed discrimination and that was wrong. Junior grinned. Now he actually looked forward to his birthday.
When he reached the kitchens, he tickled the pear and entered. He ignored the elves and made himself an iced tea, complete with mint and lemon and then made spaghetti, the sauce and even homemade meatballs. Sure, it took some time, but it was worth it. Junior was sure that it would be great!
At a counter, he set down two plates, napkins and silverware. He was expecting his dad. They may as well get a meal out of this meeting. Looking at his iced tea, he decided to make another cup, but he didn't add in the mint or lemon. That would be up to his dad if he wanted it. The spaghetti finished and he put a little bit on both plates, followed by a bit of sauce. Junior checked the meatballs, but those weren't done yet.
He finally sat down at the counter and waited patiently.
