History of Magic was such a boring cla*s. Eric slept during that cla*s usually, so when the teacher said that there was going to be a pop quiz, he knew that he was in trouble. There was no way that he was going to pa*s that quiz. He thought hard about each question and he just put down the first thing that went to his mind. Why couldn’t this be multiple choice? Those were easy. There wasn’t much thinking involved with those. This he had to write the answer and then explain. Eric was about ready to act like he was stressed out and storm off, but he couldn’t. That just meant that he’d have to retake the quiz. It was better to just get it over with.
He was answering the last question when the bell rang, signaling the end of cla*s. Hurriedly, he threw the parchment on the teacher’s desk and ran from the room, downstairs to the Hufflepuff Common room, where he collapsed on his bed. Eric checked the time. It was just about time to meet his father. It was three thirty. He knew where Thompson’s square was, as that was where the first DA meeting had been held. He jumped into the shower and then got dressed in Khaki pants and a blue sweatshirt that Phoenix got him for his birthday. He checked the time again and realized that it was past four. He put on his socks and shoes in the common room, then waved to Phoenix, Cory and a few of his friends before rushing out.
He was going to be late to his own meeting. He caught the knight bus in Hogsmeade and that took him into Muggle London, where he walked the rest of the way to Thompson’s Square. Eric really needed to learn to apparate. It would be so much quicker than having to catch the bus. He walked through the park and he found the Tea Emporium very close to that. He had never been there, but he’d heard about it. Supposed to be a very popular shop in London and very expensive. Hopefully, his dad brought enough money. Eric walked into the cozy little place and found a vacant arm chair, so he sat there. This was the wrong place to meet. There were so many muggles, he doubted if his dad would even be able to see him. Next time, they would meet somewhere else.
Eric thought about what he was going to tell his father. He wasn’t a snitch, but he had no choice but to tell him that Cory quit the Army and Phoenix had seen him joining the Gang. He didn’t know when that was going to happen, but they had to stop it before it did. He didn’t want to lose his brother. He waved away the waitress that came over to him and continued thinking about what he was going to tell his dad.

Titus was sitting in his office. He looked outside his office and saw that his wife was happy. He was glad to have her in his life. He was still a bit sad about his mother dying and that his father has to learn to live on his own now. He was still down that she had pa*sed away. He looked down at his piles of work that needed to be done. "Oh how wish I can take a Vacation from work!" he whispered to himself with a sigh. He also wondered what his son Eric had to tell him.
Looking at the clock he was surprised that it was already one forty-five and he had planned to leave at one thirty. "Great I'm late!" he said getting up and grabbed his jacket. He was used to the muggle world but he didn't know where the place his son wanted to meet up with him. "Sorry Huney I got a meeting to go to. I'll be back around five or sooner take messages!" he said as he ran out of there and locked the door after himself.
He ran to the car and pulled out into the traffice. He sure hoped he would be able to find the place all right. He then remembered he needed to get money out of his muggle account. His wife knows about it and all but the kids didn't. He quickly made a stop at the bank and grabbed enough money. He looked at the time and he saw that it was now two fifteen. He then drove around the town until he found Thompson Square. He thought that was easy enough and then saw the Tea Emporium and smiled. It was easy enough to find. And he was early by five whole minutes. He parked the car and walked into the shop. He looked around and then spotted his son in an arm chair. He walked up to his son. "Why a muggle tea shop may I ask?" he whispered as he took the arm chair next to his older son. Boy he's looking a lot like me these days! he thought to himself.

Eric looked up when a waitress approached him. He ordered himself a green tea with mint and lemon and a bagel with cream cheese spread, which was his favorite. He watched her walk away. He wasn’t disgusted by women. He enjoyed watching some of them walk away. He enjoyed it like fine art, finding none of it sexy, but knowing that a straight man would be thinking about getting her in bed. Eric shook his head as he went back to his thoughts about the chat he was going to have with his father.
A guy brought his order and he flirted with Eric and walked away mad that he didn’t flirt back. As he took a bite of his bagel, he saw his dad enter the shop. He heard the question, but didn’t answer it until after he swallowed his third bite of the bagel and taken a couple of sips of the tea. “Where else can I get a cream cheese bagel?” Eric asked, finishing the bagel and signaling a waitress to order another one. He could eat these bagels all day. A waitress finally came over and he ordered two more bagels with the cream cheese spread and then took a sip of his tea.
When the waitress was gone, he decided that it was time to get down to business. He looked into his tea and thought about where to begin. “Dad, I wanted to talk to you about Cory. I’m afraid we’re losing him. He quit the Army and Phoenix said that he saw him joining the gang.” Eric paused and then continued. “Phoenix is a seer. He sees the future. We need to find a way to change that vision.” He doubted if they’d be able to. Cory had been influenced by the wrong people. It was unlikely that he would ever come back to the side that he left. “The army is failing, Dad. It’s not likely that we’ll be able to keep it going for long. Everyone is quitting and staying Neutral if they don’t go over to the gang. I think Nix is ready to give up and I won’t even bother without him.”
His bagels came and he spread the cheese, but he didn’t eat it. He broke a little bit off and played with it. “You didn’t raise us to give up and I’d really hate to, but there may not be another choice. Can you give us some advice?” Eric may not like the fact that his father is still Minister, but he likes his perseverance. Hopefully, he’d be able to give him some advice.

Titus smiled a bit at his son. “Oh I don’t per say at home!” he said for a moment. “I myself love bagels son!” he said for a moment looking at his son. “And besides I think that we are the only magical people who actually buy actual groceries from a muggle store.” he admitted to his son. He ordered himself a bagel with strawberry cream cheese. He looked at his son a bit. He looked more and more like him and he knew it.
He took a bite of his bagel when Eric said that Cory had quit the DA and when the rest went flying into someone else’s lap when he said that his friend Phoenix saw him joining the gang. The costumer that got his bagel in his lap and asked him why he ended up with his bagel. He told the guy that he just found out that his beloved cat had just pa*sed away unexpectedly and then that their parrot had pa*sed at the same time and the guy laughed at the story. He was a bit red in the face when the guy walked away. “I know what you meant when you said that he saw that he saw him joining the gang. Don’t forget I’m a Wizard too!” he whispered. “And I already knew that he was a seer.” he said. He looked away from his son a moment. “It seems like ever since Dannie quit the DA has been dying out. I think she must have been the glue that kept the DA together for so long. With her bright charisma.” he said for a moment.
“Then don’t. Take over and fight. You could probably get James Potter to help.” he said for a moment. He thought that James was a good kid who didn’t want to follow his father’s footsteps and become an Auror. He wants to become something else. He knew though maybe he would become an Auror instead someday. He saw how he followed Brian everywhere. He looked back at his son. And wondered what he would say if he asked him how he felt with him being the Minister of Magic.
“How exactly do you feel about me being the Minister of Magic?” he asked his son. “I’m not going to quit otherwise I think we’ll have to move to the muggle world. It’s just not in my blood to give up what I believe and this world does need me. Or at least until we could find someone else who is willing take over. And that Kaiz guy isn’t the right guy. There’s something wrong with him. I’m beginning to think he works for the other side.” he said with a small frown. “But I can’t just fire him either but he sure does give me heck.” he said for a moment.
