It is exactly two weeks before school began. It was already close to three am and he knew that he had to get up early because he still had school shopping to do, but his room was lonely. He wanted someone there with him and he knew just the person he wanted. The bed just wasn’t big enough in his room for her to get in. He was sure that it had been done on purpose. Give him the room with the small bed, so Callista couldn’t sleep there. What they probably didn’t realize was that more times than not, his bed was never slept in. Ever since he moved in with the Malfoy’s he slept in Callista’s room and he stared going there more after his sixteenth birthday. The memory of that night would always bring a smile to his face. Albus put his legs over the railing and jumped down to the ground. It wasn’t that long a drop and was quiet. The odds of it waking anyone up were slim. Just as quietly, he left his room and went to Callista’s.
One small blessing was the fact that the rooms were on the same floor. He didn’t have to go down any flights of stairs or go too far to get there, though he would walk through fire just to see her if he had to. He didn’t walk slowly and he wasn’t trying to be so quiet. Shoot, he didn’t care if anyone woke up. Callista was going to be his wife one day; they were going to have a family, who cares if they slept in the same room now? Albus was just glad that Draco was dead. For sure, he would’ve wandered the halls, just to catch Albus sneaking out. He reached her door and walked right in. He paused for a minute after closing her door to just watch her sleep. It always made him love her more. He moved closer to her bed and sat down on it.
He moved her slightly to lie down and then drew her closer to him. Albus kissed the top of her head. “Sleep well, baby,” he said, quietly and then closed his eyes. He knew that he wouldn’t sleep, but lying here with her always made him more relaxed. It was like the rest of the world didn’t exist. It was only those two and they had all the time in the world to be together. Albus loved that feeling. He sighed contentedly as he stroked Callista’s hair, waiting for the sun to rise.

Callista hated sleeping alone she was just not used to it since Albus moved in and Scorpius had the baby to care for she had a little more freedom and also didn’t have her father watching them like a hawk she had to remember to thank Autumn one day. She tossed and turned as the nightmare continued she was dreaming of the night she was taken and the spiders also the one thing she never told anyone that happened to her. The man was on top of her as she struggled under him. Gasping for air she stopped breathing for a second she sat up in bed.
Looking around the dark room she let out a sigh as she thought about going to Scorpius and waking him up to have him talk her down from this fear, but she didn’t want to wake her nephew and or Kota and Scorpius it was so early in the morning. Looking at her door she wondered where Albus was she decided not to bug him because she knew if he wanted to be here he would come, he always did. In fact she prayed he did when he was there so could sleep without the nightmares, but when he was gone she always had the nightmares. Laying back down she curled up and turned in the bed starting to sleep again.
Callista was woken up with a start when she felt herself being moved and then pulled into someone, as she felt the kiss she calmed down and smiled as she realized in the next minute that it was Albus, she curled up against him and rested her head on his chest as he stroked her hair. That started to relax her as she closed her eyes to rest. “Severus, I am so happy you are here” she whispered softly as she sighed she know she was shaking. She knew he was going to ask, Albus had asked before one the first night he had came into her room. Callista still could not talk about it so she just told him it was a bad dream. Maybe she should tell him? He was going to be her husband one day and maybe if he knew she was going though so much he could help her though it. If he loved her he would help her. Shaking she grabbed on to him tighter as she thought about her dream.

Albus must’ve been more tired than he thought. As soon as he closed his eyes, he could feel sleep coming on and he had to fight to stay awake. He didn’t want to miss one second. Sleeping never was one of his favorite things to do. He knew that people needed to sleep, though, so he decided that maybe he shouldn’t fight it. Callista was still going to be there when he woke up and was always going to be there. He would have all day to spend with her and most of the night, too. Albus had his whole life to create memories with her. He could afford to miss some.
As he began falling asleep, he heard Callista talk. He was happy that he was here, too. He was always happy when he was with Callista. Albus tightened his arms around her. “I’m happy I’m here, too,” he said, softly. He began to get a little concerned though. There was something wrong with her. She was shaking. This had happened before. He had asked about it and got no answer, he wondered if he would this time. Well, regardless if he got an answer or not, he had to ask. “Callie, what’s wrong? Why are you shaking?”
Albus hoped that she would trust him enough to tell him. He wanted to help her out, but he couldn’t if he didn’t know what was bothering her. He didn’t really want to force her to tell him, but this time he may have to. If she talked about it, it may stop bothering her. “Come on, Callie, it’s only me. Talk to me. I want to help.” That was all he was going to say for now. Albus started thinking about other ways to get her to talk about it. He wanted to be ready.

Callista got closer to Albus as he talking to her she smiled as he said he was happy to be here too, it was great that her father was gone and that Scorpius couldn’t say much about Albus sleeping in her bed after getting Kota pregnant last year. Callista was so happy her life was looking up she was with the man that she loved and was free of the past, or so she thought she didn’t want to tell him that the night they shared a beautiful night that she would never forget a happy night were she became a woman…Open up a can of worms and she wasn’t sleeping and the nightmares were so bad that she screamed in pain. Lucky for her Scorpius was on the floor above them or he would hear the screaming and come running.
Oh no not now.The tears now started as she sighed and sat up there was nothing she could do now but pray that they would stop. This secret that she had been holding since she was five was about to be told and let out not even her brother knew this. “Severus…I…it’s was just a bad dream and I really haven’t been sleeping” what she said was true just not the whole story. Knowing Albus was smart he probably was not going to let this go.
“My heart, if I tell you have to promise two things. One is that you will not get mad at me and two you can’t tell anyone” she said softly as she stared at the wall but took his hand tightly in hers. It has been ten years for Callista it was time to get the help she needed and not just push it back anymore, if she didn’t get the help she needed she was never going to be able to be able to sleep or have a family like she wanted. Looking at Albus she smiled as she tried to play off the tears as nothing. She wished he could just look into her mind and see what she was going though and what happened the week she was missing when she was five.
“Albus? You know the story I told you about my kidnapping about the spiders and the basement?” she asked as she took a deep breath. “There is more that happened I was tied down and…and” Callista broke and started to cry freely closing her eyes as she started to shake more. “I’m sorry…I am not as strong as you think I am..I have been hiding the pain for ten years now” she said in a shaky tone. Scared that he would leave her if he knew the truth that she was indeed struggling to survive, Callie was not as strong as she reppears to be and honestly she can’t act strong anymore. “I was rapped at 5 years old…I need help the memory is killing me”

She was crying. He hated seeing her this way. Albus could feel her pain eating away at him. He wrapped her tighter in his arms and waited for her to say something. When she said that it was a bad dream, Albus knew better than to believe that. There is no way that she would be crying just because of a bad dream. Callista was a strong woman, stronger than anyone that he had ever met. “Callie, I doubt that it was just a bad dream. I believe that there is more to it, Callie. Please tell me what it is.”
Albus almost laughed when she said that he couldn’t get mad at her. He’d gotten mad at her for stupid reasons in the past and last year, he almost lost her. He wasn’t going to do that again. If he lost her again, he wouldn’t have a home. He wouldn’t have anything. Albus couldn’t let that happen. He was learning to control his temper a bit more. He wouldn’t get mad at Callie. He couldn’t. “I’m not going to get mad at you and I’ll take what you tell me to my grave. I promise.”
He remembered everything that he told her. It had been such a bad time for her that he wouldn’t be able to just forget. When she said that there was more to it, Albus wondered what she had really been through and knew that it had to be worse than just spiders. Callie began crying and shaking and he held her as tight as he could without cutting off her air supply. He didn’t believe that she wasn’t as strong as he thought. She was. Sometimes he thought that she was stronger than he was. Finally, she told him. Albus wanted that memory to disappear, but he didn’t think that it would. Not fully, anyways. What was he to do? He wanted to help her, but he didn’t know how. He’d never been faced with an issue like this. He stroked her hair. “Its okay, Callie. You can’t be hurt anymore. You have me now. I’ll stop the pain.” Well, he hoped he would anyway.
