Burnin' Up (Open)

Shayleigh Elizabeth Nott was so bored of her misery. Looking down at the badge she had on her shirt she was quite happy to become a Prefect. Even though she loved Quidditch she felt that she had to hide that from certain friends of hers that don't. But that doesn't mean she keeps tabs on the school Quidditch scores to see who is so far in the lead and she always hoped for Slytherin to win the house cup.

She sat down by the fire place and looked at the fire and thought of something to do. The fire was blazing and she had always thought that the room needed to be a bit warmer. She took some paper and threw them inside the fire. Too bad she hadn't realized it was her DADA homework that she had worked on so hard on. She just wanted to see something burn to dust. She looked around to see something else to burn up.

Looking around she finally spotted an old step stool. She had always wondered why they had an old step stoll in the common room anyways. Picking up the old step stoll she tossed the old thing into the fire. She smiled mainly because it flamed quite high on that one. "Things are burning up now." she told herself with a proud smile on her face. She sure hoped some of her Slytherin friends would come in at some point. She was getting bored which was why she was throwing things in the fire place.

She turned around and saw some news paper. THE MINISTER OF MAGIC STILL REFUSES TO GIVE UP THE MINISTRY! the paper read. She had to laugh because one of these days the mudblood will realize that the Dark Lord will most likely die if he doesn't. She hoped for his sake that he would just give it up before he does get killed. That was the caring side of her. She decided not to through that section into the fire but the other sections she had.

Callista smiled as she sat in her room she was so bored school was just that school and it was quiet to quiet. Looking around she stared at the crib next to Kota’s bed, the others in the room didn’t mind her nephew staying here with them and it saved Scorpius from having his roommates mad at him. With their father dead and Kota’s mother missing Kota and Scorpius had no choice but to bring her child here. Laughing as she thought about it Kota would probably would have taken him with her anyway. Callie moved around the room as she walked over to the crib and placed the bear back in it. Part of her wished it was her that had the baby and that the father was Albus. She was going to marry him one day any way why did she have to wait?

Shaking those thoughts out of her head she decided that she had spent too much time up in her room and Albus was most likely waiting for her to come down, he doesn’t leave her side anymore now that she admitted to him that she was not okay. Walking down the stairs she looked around the common area and pouted as she didn’t see Albus or her brother, but did see Shay she was one of Albus and Scor’s friend that Callie didn’t really know all too well. “Why are you throwing things into the fireplace? That is everyone’s stuff you just can’t burn it because you are bored” she said as she walked in and leaned against the wall.

Callista didn’t trust many people but how bad could this girl be if Scor and Albus were her friends? It was hard for her to be friends with people but decided she should at least try. “Where is everyone today? Have you seen Albus?” she asked as she shook a little life was so hard now for some reason. “Shay how was your summer?” she asked in a kind tone so she didn’t come off as mean.

Shayleigh jumped a bit when she heard someone behind her. "I was actually burning the school's stuff." she said with a small smile. "Besides who wants to sit on a lumpy old stoll like that one. It looks like it's about to fall apart anyways. And I looked at stuff before I threw them in. Most of it was my homework." she said with a smile on her face. "You got to admit it's a bit more warmer inside here now!" she said with a smile on her face.

"As for Albus no and I Scor I think is in the kitchen getting food again. The poor guy needs to eat sometimes." she said with a smile. "My summer was great. Spent time with the Gang." she said with a smile on her face. "And I found out that I was a Prefect this year. It should be fun to give unexpected Gryffindorks a undeserved detention every now and then." she said with a smile on her face. She wondered what this year was going to hold for her this year. As for being a Prefect her father was actually proud of her for the first time it seems like.

"How was your summer Callie?" she asked her with a smile as she looked around for more stuff to burn. "Great burned everything of the schools stuff." she said with a small smile. "I was bored. And I surely didn't want to do my homework at the moment even though I'm going to have to redo my homework." she said with a small smile. Which reminded her for a moment. She looked at the desk she was origionaly sitting at. "Great I tossed in my DADA essay that I worked on really hard." she said with a smile on her face. "Got to do that one again I guess." she said with a smile on her face.

Callie could not help but laugh as Shayleigh jumped the older girl seemed easily scared but she wouldn’t say anything, she had to be nice to this girl even though she saw the fake act that she was indeed mean when in reality she could tell the girl was sweet and soft, but could she really pick on her for it deep deep down Callista was just as sweet and kind she just learned to hide it to please her father. Draco had a thing about his children being soft. “Oh I see, I just don’t really like fire it reminds me to much of my past” she said as she took a seat on the couch still not taking her eyes off the brown haired girl. Nodding at the comment about the stool she had a point about it but wasn’t that the stool that she was sitting on the day Albus asked her out? Shaking her head she really didn’t need the stool to remember that day so she shrugged it off.

Homework? Callie laughed the teachers really had not started homework yet most were trying not to get killed for disobeying since half the kids in the school fought in the war and showed that they were not a force to be pissing off. Smiling at that thought she was helping that her brother was not mad she didn’t fight in this war. Albus wouldn’t let her fight and for good reason she most likely was a big target because her brother was the leader of the gang and lots of people would want to get back at him. “You have a point it is quite warm in here but I kind of like the cold feeling to this room.

“Well you know Albus he probably is out with his twin, it is really sad that Alex was placed in Ravenclaw I hate seeing them apart it hurts both of them though they don’t show it” she said as she looked up at the ceiling she knew he brother was not feeling well she felt the same he did but would not tell anyone “My brother though he should eat more always seems to get busy and forgets to eat I do it sometimes as well” she said in a concerned tone. There was a connection between Callie and Scorpius that no one could understand they were close almost like twins. “Ah yes, I remember you hanging around the manor this summer. Sorry I wasn’t in the best place to hang out with anyone with dealing with my mother’s disappearance and my father’s death. Of course she was lying about being upset about her father’s death she had planned it after all. Too bad for her he didn’t die.

“Albus is a Prefect too” she said hoping to good she was not named one she really hated it and would so abuse the power if it was given to her. “My summer?” she has she thought about it most her summer was held if her brother and Albus helping her though her break downs and memories of that horror able time when she was five. “It was good Albus moved in and so did Dakota and my nephew” she said happily she couldn’t believe she was only fifteen and an aunt already. Sitting up a little bit she sighed “So I was thinking Shay, since you are good friends with my brother and boyfriend maybe we should be friends as well?”

Shayleigh looked at Callista for a moment. "Really? It reminds you of your past?" she asked her for a moment. She then decided she might as well douce the fire. She took out her wand. "Aguamenti" she said and watch the fire die. She didn't really mind it was quite warm and she also knew that Scor would have her behind which she never liked disappointing him at all. "Better?" she asked her for a moment.

Shay looked at Callista for a moment. "Yeah it is sad that Sevvie and Alex are put into different houses. But he sure doesn't act like a Ravenclaw. He acts more like a Slytherin than anything." she said with a smile on her face. Or at least she th ought he acted more like a Slytherin than a Ravenclaw. "I still remember the day very clearly. I remember meeting them both on the train up here. They were talking excitingly just like I was and I told them I hope I'll be in Slytherin. And when we got to Hogwarts I was happy to be sorted into Slytherin. I was happy when Scor got sorted into Slytherin. I was happy that Sevvie made it but I was sad when Alex was sorted into Ravenclaw." she said with a small frown. "It's all right really. I can understand it must have been tough to lose a parent." she said with a small smile.

"I know I had the pleasure dealling with a hyper Sevvie." she said with a smile on her face. "Wait an interesting night and that's all I'm going to say. Nothing happened between us besides our usual goofing off people and got a few people in trouble for being out of bed when they weren't really out of bed." she said with a smile on her face. "Your nephew he is a dorable little baby." she said with a smile on her face. "I'd like to be friends with you Callie." she said with a smile on her face.

Callie sighed she knew the only reason this girl was being nice to her was because her brother was the Prince of Slytherin and the leader of the gang. It was amazing how everyone on the gang treated her with some much respect, but sometimes she had to wonder if Scor was gone and it was just her would people care enough to talk to her? She highly doubt well maybe if she used her last name but hell she really hated that it was like an easy ticket though life. Callista sighed as her thoughts turned to Albus and how she was going to be breaking up with him soon would all this would be for nothing and people might start to hate her, but it would be worth it knowing that Scor and Tristan would stand by her with her decision. Tristan loved her and she really did love him. Snapping out of her thoughts she looked at the now empty fire place and nodded, “yes thank you it is much better” she said with a smile.

“I agree Alex is not ravenclaw material but then again I have seen him read a book in 3 hours and then he sat there and told me all about the story just to prove that he did read it” she laughed at that memory she had lots of fun times with Albus and his brother, she was going to miss it but it was time to start a new life. Laughs “Shay I really don’t care he is gone I planned it to be honest with you. I hated that man” she said in a cold none emotional tone. She really did plan her father’s death and Autumn Weasley was going to do it she still hadn’t found the girl to talk to her about it and she was worried that Autumn had gotten hurt or something.

Callista laughed as she listened to her “I’m sorry I was the one that gave him all the sugar before he went out that night, but I am glad you two have each other. He might need his good friends soon” she said without thinking she just prayed that Shay didn’t ask about it. Smiling at her last words “Yes he is so cute he looks so much like Scor and has Kota’s eyes” she said happily.

Shayleigh looked over at Callie for a moment and wondered if she had thought she was being nice to her just because of her brother. "Callie just to let you know I'm truely being nice to you because I want to and you seem nice. It's not because of your brother even though I know what he can do if I was mean to you but I don't like to disappoint him and I think he knows that and now I'm just rambling." she said for a moment with a small smile on her face. She wondered though what she was going to say next.

Shayleigh looked at Callie for a moment. "You planned your own father's death?" she asked her for a moment in shock. "Wow maybe you should have been the leader instead of Scor. Don't tell him I said that though." she said with a smile on her face. "Why did you disliked the guy so much? Hate is a strong word to use by the way." she said with a small smile on her face. She looked up at Callie again and just smiled.

Shay had to laugh at that moment. "Don't worry. It was actually fun. I rather have a hyper Sevvie than a sad Sevvie. Which reminds me would you like to help me pull a prank on him? I would ask Eddie but he forbid that and I'm not about to listen to that but I didn't have Eddie in mind until he said not to. You were my first choice to ask." she said with a smile on her face. "Scor shouldn't have left Kota. But if he's happy then we should just be happy for him." she said for a moment. "Why did they break up for anyways?" she asked her for a moment.

Callie looked at her oddly and smiled “I know that but I for sure thought you would hate me for breaking up with Albus, Shay don’t get me wrong I love Albus but my heart fall for Tristan, I was attacked and Tristan was there and protected me and well one thing lead to another and I started to like him” she couldn’t believe she was telling Shay all this and wondered if she really trusted and liked Shay more then she thought. “Trust me I know how you feel I try not to disappoint him either though I feel I do some times” she said with a tiny laugh.

Sitting up she looked at Shay again and nodded “Yes I asked someone to try and kill him for me, I have hated my father since the day I was found and taken home I honestly can’t tell you why but he never really cared to listen or help me like Scorpius did, if it wasn’t my brother I would not be here today” she said in a sweet tone she really did care about her brother and the relationship they had was odd and scared others but it was true that Callie and Scorpius should have been twins because you could not separate them for anything. “My father was never there he would buy me things just to shut me up he never helped me or cared about me so that why I had him killed”

Callista shook her head she was the wrong person to ask to pull a prank on Albus and if Shay loved life she would wait until Sev was back on his feet and over the break up before she pulled any pranks on the boy. “NO!” she screamed without thinking showing that she still cared for Albus. “What are you thinking? He is freaking out and not calm right now and it is not a good time to be planning and pulling pranks on him! Do you hear me Shay? If I find out you did while he is still done over what I did I will come after you best friend to my brother or not!” she screamed again. Yes she loved Tristan but she still cared for Albus as a friend and she knew him better than anyone and now was not the time to be pranking him.

“Kota let him go this time she wanted to give him a chance to see if his feelings for Dannie were stronger then the ones he holds for her and between and you and I he loves Kota and will go back to her someday if Kota waits for him. Though if they don’t get back together they will always be close no one can ruin that bond that they share.

Shay looked at her for a moment. "Sevvie may be my best friend but Callie he's a guy. And so is Scor for that matter." she said at that particular moment. I really need to get a female best friend! she thought to herself for a moment. "And I know things happen. I mean to think that I would be upset with you because things happened between you and Tristan? I'm not upset with you at all. In fact if you are happy with Tristan than I am happy for you. Sad for Sevvie but happy for you!" she said with a smile on her face.

"Scor is a good person to go to when you are down. I know he's been there for me when I needed him Especially when I had an argument with my brother or Sevvie. Which is very rare to happen. Sevvie and I hardly argue and I think it's because we are close to each other as brother and sister." she said with a smile on her face. "And it's sad that your father wasn't there for you when you really need him Callie. I really am." she said with a small smile.

She looked at her for a moment. "I wasn't talking about now!" she said with a smile. "I know he's in pain." she said with a small smile. "You don't think I get any news from Eddie do you?" she said with a smile on her face. "He seems like the only one who could get him out of bed! And I wish him luck!" she said with a small smile on her face. "I'm talking about a month later or two. Planning a good pranks takes a long time and maybe by then he'll be in a good mood." she said with a smile on her face.

"Dannie?" she asked her for a moment. "Isn't Dannie that girl who got attacked in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom last year?" she asked her for a moment. "And the girl he was talking to last year in the same room?" she asked her for a moment. "Isn't Crew her big brother?" she asked her with a small smile. "Everyone is saying that the only reason she joined the gang is to get Scor to change sides. But what if everyone is wrong? What if she joined to get closer to her brother?" she asked Callie. "I've seen some of the looks on her face when she see's you and Scor walk together and she knows that you two are siblings. Crew and her don't have that strong relationship as you two and maybe she is jealous!" she said with a small smile.

Callie blinked before looking down the mention of Tristan’s name confused her a little, she did care about him or the things that happened between them would not have happened but she was starting to think that Tristan was just a good friend that liked to have fun with. Callie smiled as she thought about it he had shown her so much and a different side of her she didn’t have to be serious all the time and get loss and do things that normally she could not do. She really had to thank him one day for opening her eyes. Even though it didn’t seem as if she was going to be staying with Tristan that did not mean she was going to go back to Albus, she could not be with love if there was no feelings for him. Okay she is lying she has feelings for him but why stay with him if she was going to have to leave him when she turned seventeen?

“I don’t care about my father so let’s not talk about him” she said in a harsh tone. “I don’t care if it is now or two months from now! I will not help you do anything to him” she said in a protective and warning tone, she could not help it she did really care for Albus but why would she drag him on when she knew he would not stand by her when she choose to be changed to be with her brother. Sighing as Shay decided to walk about Dannie, oh how she didn’t want to talk about that girl right now. Callista Malfoy wanted to murder that girl but won’t because of Scor but so help her if it turns out that she was really screwing them all over and a spy after all.

Standing up she sighed “This talk is going in a direction I don’t want to go in, I am not ready to talk about this Dannie girl” she stated in a dark and harsh tone. Looks at Shay anf sighed “I’ll talk to you later” she said as she walked out of the common area.
