Parvati reread the letter that her aunt sent her. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Her parents were both sick. She didn’t tell her what was wrong with them or anything else about it. She just said that they were sick and at the hospital. She was told not to worry, but how could she not? Her parents were in the hospital and she didn’t know why. She knew she would worry until she was told that they were fine. Parvati looked down at the ground, praying and hoping that they were fine.
She sat down on a bench. She didn’t want to be alone, but didn’t know where anyone was. She leaned forward, elbows on knees, staring at the ground. Parvati could feel the tears in her eyes and swiped them away quickly. She didn’t want people to see her crying. She had to stop crying. There was no reason to do so. She had to believe that her parents would be fine. And even if they weren’t, she still had her aunt. She was closer to her than her parents anyways. Parvati just didn’t want to lose her parents. She really wanted them to live.
After a few minutes, the tears stopped and she looked up, across the grounds. There weren’t a lot of people around, but those that were stared at her. She ignored them, looking back at the school, wondering if she should go and find James. They weren’t in the same house, so she wouldn’t be able to look everywhere for him and he could be in the common room. Parvati just sat there, thinking of something that she could do to get her mind off her terrible news.

James was in the common room kicking around his soccer ball. He was annoying some of the students actually and he didn't realized that. James loved his soccer ball and he knew it too well. He just wished some of his friends just realize that soccer is part of him. One of his cla*s mates took his ball and thre it out the window. What aim because he threw it into the Courtyard. He looked at his cla*smate. "That was uncalled for!" he told him and left the Common Room before the guy could remark on it.
He walked through the hallways. Well he actually ran through the hallways. "No running in the Hallways Potter!" Professor Scotts told him. "Sorry Professor!" he said as he came to a walk. He turned the corner and began to run again. He didn't really mind running through the hallways. Going down the stair cases take every other step he ran into a few people. Apologized and made his way down. He couldn't believe it much that is pal threw his ball out the window.
Finally making it to the courtyard he began to look around for the ball. He stopped when he saw Parvati Page sitting there. He smiled and walked over to her. "What am I doing? I'm a wizard for goodness sake!" he said to himself as he took his wand out. "Accio James Soccer ball!" he said and his soccer ball hit him in the stomach but not to hard in fact he was use to it so it didn't bother him. "Hey Parvatie. How is it going?" he asked her for a moment. He took a good long look at her for a moment. "Have you been crying my dear?" he asked her as he kissed her on the forehead.

She wondered how her siblings were dealing with it. They were probably doing better than she was. For her, it was just the idea that she might lose them and then what would she do? She wanted her parents around for a long time. Parvati knew that she would never be alone. She’d always have her aunt and siblings, but it wouldn’t be the same as having her parents around. She closed her eyes and sighed. Why her parents? Why now?
She opened her eyes just to see a soccer ball flying past. James must be playing around with it again. He would be a great way for her to get her mind off of her parents. She looked around, wondering where he was as she didn’t see him. Well, he should be around soon to recover his ball. Parvati began thinking about picking the ball up and holding it until he showed up or until he agreed to go out with her, but she didn’t like the idea of having to blackmail someone to go out with her. It meant that he didn’t really like her. She didn’t want that.
She lifted her head when she heard his voice, using the summoning charm. She really didn’t feel like smiling, but when she saw him, one broke out. It was a small one and a little sad looking, but it was still there. “Hey, James. Everything’s fine, I guess,” she answered his question. When he kissed her, Parvati leaned against him, burying her face in his shoulder. “I just found out that my parents are sick. They could die, James. I’m really scared.”

When Parvati told him that her parents could die he just let go of his soccer ball and wrapped his arms around her. "Oh Parvati it'll be all right. You'll see. You got all of your friends and you got me. And I'll be there for you." he said with a small smile. He loved her and he knew it too. Deep down inside he knew it. He took one good look at her for a moment. "How would you like to be my girlfriend?" he asked her for a moment.
"To tell you the truth I liked you for some time now. I was just nervous to ask you out. But I'm not anymore and I don't want to miss out on the prettiest girl there is." he said for a moment. It was true. He really did think that she was the prettiest girl of the whole school. "Dannielle Wood doesn't have anything on you! Even though I do wonder what she knows about Scorpius and what she sees in him?" he said a bit in wonder though. He was curious and he has been trying to get information about Scorpius from Dannielle who isn't telling him anything.
He wondered how could anyone hold a secret that good. And then he realized that Dannielle was one of those people. She didn't hold any of his secrets though but he was pretty sure now that she would hold them to herself and take it to the grave and no one would know. It would end with her. So he figured he should stop pestering her but then again that wouldn't get any answers for Phoenix. He looked at Parvati. "So what do you say will you be my girlfriend?" he asked her with a hopeful smile on his face.

She wrapped his arms around him and loved the feeling of being in his arms. She didn't want this to end, didn't want to have to leave him to go back to her common room. Too bad she wasn't a gryffindor. "I know. I still have people and I'm seventeen, so I don't need them, but still. I don't want anything to happen to them." Parvati heard his question. What a time to ask her out, but she did love him. "Of course, of course," she said, maybe a little too eagerly.
"I've felt the same way for awhile and I wasn't nervous, but I was waiting to see if you would ask me out." She supposed that she was an old fashioned girl, wanting to be asked out the traditional way. Parvati should've went right to him. It would've been different. "You wouldn't have lost out on me. I was going to ask you if you didn't ask me." That just made her day. Her day was looking up now.
He mentioned Dannielle Wood and she became confused. Where did this come from? She barely knew the girl and she barely knew Scorpius. She only knew what Albus told her. "I barely know her and Scorpius. Only what I've heard from Albus. Dannielle used to be in the Army, right?" Parvati shook her head. "That's why I'm neutral. You don't really know who you can trust anymore." She wasn't technically neutral, but she wasn't allowed to tell people about the coalition. Parvati trusted James, but there could be people listening. The way that she heard, the gang had ears everywhere.
She lifted her head off from him reluctantly, kissed him, and stood up and picked up his ball. "Let's see if I am anywhere close as good as you," Parvati said as she kicked the ball. It went right up, bounced off her head and landed on the ground. "That wasn't supposed to happen." She sat back down and put her head back on his shoulder. She could sit like that all day.
