Lily walked up to the Astronomy Tower. The tower was currently empty, as there were no cla*ses being held there at this hour of the day. It was also a weekend on top of it, which meant hardly any cla*ses were taking place to begin with. Lily wasn't sure where everyone else was at the moment. She hadn't seen many people on her way up here, not that she really cared. She preferred to just be alone at the moment, she didn't want to be around anyone at the moment.

For about the past four months or so, maybe longer, Lily had been cutting herself. She had lost count as to when it actually started. Now of course no one knew this, as Lily was very determined to hide it, and keep others from finding out. She had been pretty good about ti so far. She just couldn't take much of what was going on at the moment. It was all much to stressful, and well she couldn't handle it. In fact really didn't know how to deal with it all. The only thing that seemed to help was cutting.

Lily had even thought about jumping off the Astronomy Tower a few times as well, but hasn't done it at all...obviously. Lily was never really good about talking about how she feels, especially when she's upset. Instead she decides to withdraw herself from everyone. It was pretty obvious when something was getting to her, and this was one of those times. She had even been asked a few times by others what was wrong, but Lily refused to talk about it. She sighed to herself, and looked around.

Alex was bored and didn’t really feel like going back to the common room and sitting there and listening to the smart a*ses’ debate about whom was smarter. No he would rather go to this favorite place and read where no one can see him. Alexander really did like being alone well only if Albus was not able to come out and then there was Liberty he loved her so much he sometimes thought of her as his saving grace if it was not for her he would have lost it years ago. Walking towards the tower with the book in his hand.

Alexander was going to hunt down his sister soon something was different about her and he was dead set on finding out what it is and fixing it. If Lily needed or wanted his help that is, she seemed distant lately he was mad at himself for not seeing it sooner; if that scum bag of a father hurt her in any way he was going to kill that man. Walking into the Astronomy tower scanning the room he jumped as he saw Lily. Smiling slightly but also frowning she really didn’t look. He hid at the door watching her for a moment he didn’t want to scare her but he wanted to try and place why she was so sad. “Lily?” he asked not moving.

“Are you alright honestly?” he asked again as he moved into the room and over to her taking her hand, “I am here for you please don’t be scared of me. I know I took off by I am here now, please talk to me sister I can tell something is up” he looked at her sister in her eyes as to show her he was serious. “Come on Lily you used to talk to me all the time”

"I'm fine" she said pulling away from him, even though it was a big huge lie. She was no where near being fine. She didn't want to be that close, seeing as it would be easy for him then to see the cuts she made on her arm. I mean after all no one has yet found out, meaning all the previous cuts she made from the last four months or so, still had scars there. Normally Lily wouldn't pull away from him, but she didn't want anyone to find out so she had no choice.

"I said theres nothing wrong" she snapped when he continued to push her into saying what was wrong. Normally she wouldn't be like this, but when she's upset she doesn't like people bugging her, and asking her whats worng. It's usually about the only time she ever lies to others, even her own family. Though usually after awhile a few of them could get her to say whats wrong, this was different though.

It's true that she used to tell Alex everything no matter what it was, him being one of the few that she'd tell when something was really bothering her, but ever since last year things didn't feel the same anymore. She wasn't going to tell anyone what was bothering her, and she certainly wasn't going to tell anyone, or let anyone find out what she's been doing to herself.

Alex was in shock when his baby sister pulled away from him she had never done that no matter how mad she was at him she would never pull away. Looking down he noticed her arms and sighed trying so hard not to blow up at her for cutting herself, but now he knew that he not only had to save his twin from a broken heart he had to save his baby sister from herself. “Oh Lily….why are you being like this?” he asked wondering if it was because of the war and their two uncles and mother dying. She said she was fine but he didn’t believe her not after the cuts he saw.

“How long have you been doing this to yourself?” he asked as he grabbed her arm and pulled her sleeve up and showed her that he saw. He couldn’t believe that his baby sister was so sad that she was reduced to cutting herself. “Lily why didn’t you send me an owl I would have come home for you” he said as he started to blame himself for this. He should have been there for her and not ran away or just took her with him to his girlfriend’s house. He knew one thing he was not going to push her but he was not going to let her cut herself anymore. “Lily sister…I am not going to push you to talk but I am also not going to allow this to continue. I won’t tell anyone that you have been doing this” he said in an honest tone. Though he make tell Albus so that he and his twin could think of something to help her get through this.

Alexander felt lost and worried he was not sure what to do but this time he hugged her tightly and would not let her go he wanted to get though to her that no matter what he was there for her and was going help her. “Lily Potter you will stop this and I will help you I promise. I should have never left you I am sorry”

Lily was a bit shocked when he seen the scars, then again a part of her had a feeling he would, after all when she pulled away, it probably revealed them or something. She had pulled away pretty hard. She just looked down as he stared to talk.

"Five months, maybe longer" she said quietly, answering his question, when he asked her how long she had been doing it. Lily wasn't exactly sure when it was that it had all started. it seemed so long ago that it started. She really didn't like thinking about why it was she had started. She just wanted to forget. Well she was caught now. She couldn't very well not answer his question.

The truth was she hadn't started just because he left. "It's everything. It wasn't you leaving it's everything that's happened in the past year. I just can't take it" she said quietly when he asked her why she was like this. "I just wish I was dead" she said very quietly, more to herself than anything. Okay so maybe deep down she didn't truly mean that. She only felt like this right now, because of everything that's happened in the past year. She just couldn't take it.

Lily had even tried to take her own life a few times, though she of course withheld that information from Alex. She wasn't sure she could tell him that. True he just found out about the cutting, but what would he think if he found out she tried to commit suicide a few times no more than a few times in the past year, she just never could go through with it. Her own father didn't even know.

Alex had no idea what to do or say at this point his little sister was depressed and hurting herself and he was so busy with school and planning the murder of his father that he had stopped checking in on her. He listened to her and shook his head. “Five months….” He said in shook this was crazy she was the cute innocent one that they all tired to protect but how does one protect a person from their selves? He was at a lost and sad as well to see his baby sister in so much pain. “The war is over we are semi at peace sure mum is gone but I’m still here for you and well…Father is around as well” he said in a soft tone. True he hated his father but he knew their father and he would not want this of his daughter.

Alex started to think that he was the only sane one in the family, Albus was sad about Callista dumping him and Lily was cutting herself and James well he didn’t care about James to him; his older brother was just a mini me of their father. Sitting down next to her he leaned against the wall. “I know what you mean I feel the same way it’s just all too much but cutting yourself is not the answer! I can’t lose you Lily, you are so important to me you don’t even know the half of it” he said as he dropped his head into his hands.

Alexander Arthur Potter jumped and threw his hand on his heart when her heard Lily say she wanted to die, he felt as if he was going to have a heart attack pain shot though him as he made a face. Maybe he was having a heart attack. This couldn’t be happening not to his innocent sister she was supposed to be the one happy and making it though this hell hole of a school. Even since the war and his mother dying Alex was starting to hate this school. “Lily I am not going to get on your case I just want to help you so if you ever need to talk you know you can come to me”
