Kestral walked down the street as he glanced around. He had sent out an owl to meet with Kylianne Weasley more so in her best interest. He felt like he was turning in knots but he had to follow through. He casually glanced around as he made his way to Hogs head. Hmm. Nothing has changed in the course of a year and a few months. he thought to himself. He figured this would be pretty easy. He was privileged to get the position he did. Now it was only a matter of time. He wanted to meet with Kylianne on a quieter note then in a bar but without seeing her first, he figured she’d never meet with him.
No one knew him or recognized him while he walked down to the bar. He glanced around before he opened the door and slipped in. He was not trying to seem as though he was mysterious or up to something. But then again, he was being cautious and remaining to himself. He looked around inside. He had to admit it wasn’t a bad looking place but with a shrug he also figured that he wouldn’t have been interested in this place. He noticed the bar and walked over to it before he took a seat. He figured if he looked into Kylianne’s eyes she’d know right away. He wanted a chance to talk with her before she’d figure it out.
He glanced around as it did seem quiet inside and there were not many people inside. Part of him was starting to wonder if she was even here or if it was someone else that was opening the place. He waited for another minute before he knocked on the bar top. “Hey, can’t a guy get any service around here?!” he said in a raspy tone. For the most part he kept his head down so he wouldn’t have to look up and see her. He needed to find a way to lure her from the street to his country house before she learned who he really was.

It had been a really long day for Annie taking orders from mean men who joked about her beauty and talked about taking her out back and doing all kinds of things to her normally she would just roll her eyes and move on and that is what she trying to do today, it was Percy’s day off so all the men were worse than normal, but she just ignored it and served everyone their food and drinks and kick out the drunks that got to out of control. She hated it when she had to opening this place on her own. Working behind the bar she sighed as another drunken man grabbed her and tried to get over the bar she kicked him away and sighed “Sit down and enjoy your drink” she said as she slammed his mug on the counter next to the drunk.
Turning to the next person she served them there food and drinks and asked if there was anything else she could get them when they said no she smiled and walked back to the bar. Kylie was tired and wished that Percy would come in soon but she doubted that was going to be soon for she knew he was very busy, but she was pregnant and was not really allowed to be get work for a long period of time and with Autumn at home and recovering she wanted to be there for the girl. Glaring as one of the men at the bar started to get impatience she turned her back and counted to ten before turning around with a smile.
Starting to make her way over to the man she smiled and looked kind as she looked round and watched as a drunken man was trying to harsh a female customer she swore around her breath and sighed as she looked at Kestrel “Excuse me for one second “she said softly as she poured a cup of coffee for him “Here cup of coffee on the house for your patience” she added before she moved over to the man and tried to calm him done. The man swore at her and started to look violent before he suddenly pushed Kylie. “Shut up girl! I will leave when I want to” the man yelled at her.

Kestrel waited at the bar as he glanced around watching Kylianne running around dealing with the other customers. He couldn’t get over how great she looked but then again he hadn’t seen her in a very-very long time. He frowned as he watched how the men treated Kylianne. He wanted to stand up and do something about it but knew it would not be wise to do so. He glanced away as he just listened and watched in a few reflections of what was going on. He started to wonder where Percy was, even another worker or the owner of the place. He didn’t understand why she was here alone in opening this place up.
He continued to keep his eyes on her without actually watching when he noticed the other man at the bar. He was going to get up about it but decided against it as he watched how she handled everyone in the building. Mentally shaking his head as he witness, he figured this was no place for a girl like her to be. However, how would he be able to say anything or convince her to remotely try something else; go for something new. He had to admit that she was good and she seemed to handle herself well, but from his secretive point of view he didn’t like it. He had heard a few things but he choice not to investigate. However, he did have to admit that he did pick up a different scent from her every now and again when she whizzed by him.
He was almost startled when he heard her speak. He glanced over to her quickly as he was watching a few people on the other side from the corners of his eyes. He smiled faintly at her and gave her a slight nod with a gentle wave to let her know it was fine and to be off to do whatever it was she had to. He watched through the reflections before he slowly turned as he listened to the man and Kylie interact. He was on his feet and grabbing the man by the scuff of his shirt before anyone could blink. “Now, no man should be talking like that to woman, especially, a sturdy woman who is running this place while her others are in the back.” He said in a strong almost secretly violent tone which was hard to figure out. “Seems to me, you need a little a*sistance this morning!” he added as he pulled the man away from the table and started to usher him out. Once he was by the door, he allowed a dark look appear in his eyes and with a slight snarl and low growl, “If you ever show your face around here again... I’ll see to it personally that you’re fed to the dogs!” he said in a very low tone before he shoved the man out the door.
Turning back he glanced at everyone who was watching him. “Anyone else want to take a round out of this lovely lady who is doing her best?” he questioned in a strongly annoyed tone. He watched as everyone turned back before he started to nod. “Yeah, that’s what I figured.” He stated in a kinder tone before he walked back over to where he was sitting. He glanced back to her, “I do hope that you are alright... if you need a moment ma’am, I’ll watch the place for you.” He stated.

Annie sat on the ground in shock as the man she just told she would be back to stood up and grabbed the man that had pushed her, turning she watched the scene and sighed in relief as he gentleman took care of the drunken man for her. After catching her breath she stood up and placed a hand on her stomach knowing that he babies were okay she had landed on her butt and not her stomach that made her happy, Percy would lose it if she was hurt here at work while he was gone. She watched as the man came back in and addressed everyone else before he sat back down.
By this time she was leaning against the wall in a dark corner so no one could see her eyes as a tear dropped from her chin she quickly wiped it away as she heard what he was saying to her, closing her eyes for a minute she swore that she just heard her brother, but how could that be Tyler was gone and after a year of not coming around she could only fear the worse and a*sume he was dead. Wiping her eyes again she took a deep breath and sighed “Thank you for your kindness and helping me out with that man, but I am alright my brother taught me to be strong when we were little” she said as she stepped back into view and fixed her hair before slipping into the back and washing her hands before slashing some water into her face. Looking into the mirror she dried her face and hands and appeared again.
Walking over to Kestrel she smiled “ I wanted to thank you again for handling that guy, usually my husband is here and no one even thinks about doing that when he is around” she explained in a soft tone. “Now, what can I get you this morning? It’s on the house” she said in a friendly tone wanting to pay the man back for helping her out.

Kestrel wanted to make sure that she was okay after dealing with the guy but noticed that she needed some time. He sat up at the bar as he tapped his fingers quietly. He caught sight that she might have picked up on something from him with the look and reminded himself to speak in a natural tone but more husky and rough so no one would pick up on his tone of voice. He knew which phrase he slipped up on around her since he jumped into protective mode. He waited patiently for her to get her composure and return. He picked out that it must have been a pretty hard morning.
He glanced to her but didn`t really move to address her when she returned. “It’s not a problem. Drunk or not no man should be ha*sling a pretty little thing like you.” He said in a husky yet rough tone but tried to balance in the polite and kindness. “Sounds like you had a fine brother.” He said, allowing his tone to give away that he might have known her brother. He glanced to her as he watched her walk out and he went back to tapping on the bar as he waited for her return. He looked up to her but didn’t hold the gaze, “I hope you are feeling better.” He stated.
He did a one shoulder shrug, “Not a problem” He glanced once around the room before glancing to her. “Just a little breakfast and a cup of coffee would be fine and you don’t have to give it to me on the house.” He added with a smile. “Any non-drunk common person should help a lady out.” He looked to her after a moment from the corners of his eyes. He thought about it and knew that now would be a better time than any to speak. He was going to play it smart. “I was informed that I could find a Kylianne Boot here. She may be married now.” He paused for a moment. “I`m from the ministry and its imperative that I get in touch with her.”

Kylianne looked at him oddly when he remarked on her brother it caught her off guard for a minute but moved to get him the coffee returned as she filled his mug and smiled at him politely. Sometimes people could not believe that such a nice girl would work in a place like this but when it came down to it she did what she had to do to help pay bills. “Oh that guy was nothing compared to the sh*theads that come in here at night” she said trying to down play it and not show she was hurt but what happened. “Normally my husband is here to stop them no one even looks at me wrong when he is here” she added without thinking.
“I will be okay I’m a touch girl that was another thing my brother taught me, my brother was a great man but he disappeared last year, but I never stopped looking for him. I’m sorry I don’t mean to tell you all of this” she said as she walked away to set the coffee pot away and to get his order ready. When she was done she appeared with a plate of eggs and some toast before setting it in front of him. “Enjoy and be lucky I’m the one cooking today” she said with a laugh knowing that if Percy was here the food didn’t always come out looking like food.
Starting to walk away she stopped dead in her tracks ”The ministry is looking for me?” Oh god is the secret out did they know that Percy was the dark lord? Why didn’t I see this coming? I know that I don’t see everything all the time but why didn’t I see this? Where is Tyler when I need him or even Percy!” Turning she looked at him she sighed and smiled “Well it is your lucky day I am Kylianne Boot well its Weasley now but yes you find me” she said in a slightly scared tone. “Did I do something wrong?”

Kestrel smiled back and nodded. “Sounds like he’s a good man to you. Where is he this morning?” he questioned as he graciously accepted the cup of coffee. He watched her indirectly from the corners of his eyes as the rest of the time he kept his head either partially down or glancing around ever so often to see what else was in the room and if there were any other trouble brewing. “So, why is a pretty thing like you working in such a dangerous place?” he questioned. “Don’t you think you’d have a better place to work?” he enquired still sticking to the husky voice. He sipped on his coffee as he watched her walk away.
He took the chance to think about everything that he had witnessed here and everything that has been said this far. He didn’t hide that he was in the ministry in fact he showed it off. He made it very clear just for his sole purpose of this morning. He didn’t want any interference and to be left alone with Kylianne. He looked at the eggs and toast and smiled, “Thanks. Well, it does look good.” He said, “It’s fine that you are telling me and I’m sorry to hear that your brother disappeared. I’m sure he’d be honoured to know that you haven’t stopped looking for him.” he said only to pause. He thought carefully for only a split second before he looked up at her with a dark and deadly look in his eyes to match his dark cold expression, “But I do believe it’s time you quit looking for him. No good will come out of it.” He said in an icy bitter tone before he picked up his toast and took a bite.
He glanced to her from the corner of his eyes as he narrowed them. He could read her features enough by the way she stopped something was up. She was panicking. But he couldn’t figure out over what unless... he shook his head mentally to shake his thoughts clear. He continued to eat his breakfast as he thought about the purpose, the reason why he was there and he was going to stick to it the best he can. The corners of his lips tugged upward very slightly as he listened to her say that he found her. He knew he had her all along but being that she didn’t know him, he had to keep up the game. “So, you’re the wife of Percy Weasley and Tyler Boot’s sister.” He said in the same husky rough tone, only now had a slight level of amusement. He finished his breakfast and downed his cup of coffee. He stood up and placed more than enough gold on the bar for her. “Wrong? No.” He said, “Not you. But I do need to speak to you privately. You would be interested in what I have to say, Mrs Kylianne Boot-Weasley.” He said. “It’s a matter of importance. If I were you, I wouldn’t brush this meeting off or delay it.”

“My husband had a meeting to go to meeting with an old friend” she answered in a dark tone. She was starting to get annoyed with this guy why did he care so much about where Percy was? Or where she worked? Kylianne was sure that something was really off, “I am just working here for the money until I am old enough for the job I want” she said nicer tone then she used before. Turning she saw another person come in and she quickly went to take that person order and then disappeared in the back to make it after a minute or two she reappeared with the order in hand placing it down on the table for the woman. She was still semi listening to Kestrel and slowly returned to him to fill his mug with coffee before she suddenly froze.
Kylie’s eyes met his dark and deadly stare; she was lost for a moment as something seemed so familiar though she shook her head and shook it off. ”Stop looking for him?” was this man crazy this was he brother, her twin and the only family she had left with her parents both dead; suddenly her head started to hurt and her eyes shifted color to a deep black. ”No no not now! Not a work!” he mind screamed as she struggled as images flashed though her head all broken she couldn’t see what it was trying to tell her. Hearing the door she looked up and saw the waitress walk in she nodded as the girl moved out back “Kelly I am going on a break I’ll be back soon and if I don’t come back I’ll get Percy to come in for me.” Stopping at the door she looked at Kestrel.
“Are you coming? If it is so important that you speak to me then follow me” she said in a dark tone one she only used once in her life and that was when she was six and someone was picking on Tyler for his outfit. The twins were always protective of each other and it through her off not to have him around and killed her ever more that he was not here for her wedding and now her pregnancy. Turning she walked out of the door and to a private area that she always goes to after a rough time at work. Annie wiped her eyes as tears ran down her cheeks, the vision was about her brother but she didn’t know what it was saying and that frustrated her so much. Sitting on a bench she hid her face in her hands and continued to cry. “Tyler I’m so sorry”

Kestrel looked to his empty plate and fresh cup of coffee as he smirked darkly while he listened to her. ‘an old friend? Hmm. I wonder who it could be.’ He thought to himself. He glanced to her when he heard her voice once more. He ignored the tones that she used as he was use to them for two reasons; one being who he was and who she was and two his line of work. He noticed that she disappeared a few times and then came back. He knew that she wasn’t going to like anything that he had to say.
He noticed that she stared at him and he knew that things were about to be blown and he couldn’t have that. Not here. Not now. He got up just as he heard what she said to the other girl and he watched her from the corner of his eyes. He knew that something was up and he took a guess at what it was. He turned and followed her towards the door but he also dropped back a little so he would give her a little space. He nodded in response to her question. He had to smile as he caught that tone once more. He followed her out and towards a private spot. He noticed her sitting on a bench waiting for him. He caught the tears and he caught the ‘I’m so sorry’. He felt his heart almost break. Being away for as long as he had been he learned how to brush and shrug things off no matter how close to the heart they are.
“Lia, you don’t need to be sorry.” He whispered faintly from behind her as he approached her. He let his guard down for only a split second when he whispered before he regained himself as he walked around the bench to join her. He handed her a tissue and used another one to wipe her tears. “I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this, but Tyler Boot died in the war. From my findings and understanding, he was attacked by a werewolf. He attempted to flee but unfortunately he died.” He said in a low tone.

Kylianne was trying so hard to fight the headache and to calm herself down so she could piece all the visions together when she heard someone talking and that nickname it rang in her head like an old memory; blinking a little as she jumped up to look for Tyler but he was not there it was just that man again. “What do you want!” she almost yelled as she felt the tears in her eyes and tried to hide them. What news did the ministry have to tell her she knew her parents were dead and she knew her brother was missing so what was all the cause for this?
Sitting back down as she hid her face in her hands as she shook a little “I could have swore I heard him….Ty..” she whispered as she sighed feeling him sit next to her listening to what he had to say and started to shake more “No! No he didn’t he is my brother my twin I can feel him but he is hiding from me!” she yelled as she moved away as he was trying to wipe a tear away. “It is true about the wolf but he is still live so thank you for trying but why don’t you just go torture someone else!” she took a breath as she calm herself as her mind called out for her brother when she was little Tyler used to make it all go away and help her calm down.
All she wanted was her brother back, but now she knew he was never coming back around her and she had lost everything she cared about except her loving husband. “Well I should be going. I’m sorry you wasted your time but you will never make me believe that my brother who promised to always come home is dead! Good Day!”

Kestrel watched Lia and felt his heart strings pull as he knew that it was hard for her. He knew that this wasn’t going to easy as he watched her. He wished that there could have been an easier method to deal with this but he had to put her through it all. He had to make her realize that Tyler was dead and to leave it that way. That was his life of the past and things are different. He just hoped that when she did realize everything she’d understand.
He attempted to hug and comfort her as she started to break down when she pulled away from him and started to yell at him. He sighed and shook his head. He was worried that things would play out like this. “Lia, calm down!” he said sternly in his husky tone. “You can’t go running around raising your voice like that!” he added in the same tone. “I’m sorry but Tyler is dead! As a twin, you will feel him. He will always be close to you. He will always stand by and protect you. But Lia, you need to stop raising your voice and accept that he has died.” He added. “He couldn’t handle being a wolf... but he didn’t want you to know that. He didn’t want you to know that he disgraced himself by taking his own life.” He explained to her.
Deep down he knew that he had tried to end it but he ended up being picked up and taught to change. He learned how to use it all to his advantage instead of taking it as a curse. The only thing was he wasn’t sure if he was ready to share all of that with her. But he knew that she might figure it out on her own over time. He nodded slowly, “He figured that you wouldn’t believe. So he asked me to give you his last will.” He said pulling an envelope out of his pocket and handed it to her. “He was sorry about leaving you but he couldn’t stay. There is a boy, his name is Shane Weasley who is staying with me. You’re brother was taking care of him but he requested that I take in the boy and look after him until he finished Hogwarts. If you want to know anything about your brother, you’ll need to seek him out at this address.” He said handing a card to her with his address. “However, you must not let anyone know of this place, where you are going or who you are talking to.” He added. “My apologies again.” he added as he stood up.

With tears running down her face she looked at Kestrel for a long time “Call me Lia again and she how fast you are on the ground that nickname is only for Ty” she said as she held on the will tightly before she stared at it. This could not be happening her brother could not be gone…who would she turn to? Who would she talk to when Percy was busy? Kylie felt every piece of her heart falling away as she sighed and looked up at Kestrel. “I am calm now all people will do is see and upset pregnant girl that just found out that the most important person in her life besides her husband was gone. “He couldn’t handle being a wolf? He didn’t want me to know that? Disgrace?” Kylie was shaking so bad now.
Annie just couldn’t take it anymore she could not believe he was really gone. Her big brother the one that protected her all her life was died and gone and never coming back it took all she had to live this long without him around and now he was never coming back. “No…Please it can’t be true..Ty Ty….don’t leave me…” she was broken and tired as she fell to her knees the desire to join her brother raced though her hand. Catching herself she struggled to stay strong and handed the card back “thank you for letting me know” she said in a soft and sad tone.
“But I don’t need to seek out Shane I know all I need to know…” she struggled to great though this meeting so she could get home, this was not good news not at all. Looking at Kes “You will not have to worry I will not be coming by. “I hope things stay well for you Mr. Merrick” she said looking around for the first time in her life she was lost and couldn’t find her way. Turning she sighed and felt dizzy “This is not fair Ty…You weren’t supposed to leave this earth just yet.” Looking up at the sky she sighed and cried harder “I didn’t get to say goodbye” Kylie was having a hard time walking but tried to continue. “I love you Tyler and I will never forget you..I’m really sorry I wasn’t there for you when you needed me the most”

Kestrel looked at her tear stained face. He knew that he was no longer going to be calling her that. He glanced away as he knew that this day would come at some point. He knew that he had to keep it together so he could remain and keep things where they were. He nodded slowly, “My apologizes.” He said in a low but husky tone. He glanced back to her seeing the questions as part of him knew, wished that he could do more to help her, comfort her but it wasn’t going to happen. Not this time. It was no longer his place. As a stranger to her it couldn’t happen. He looked back to her only to see that she had looked up at him. He nodded slowly as he listened to her, “I am sorry about your loss. No, he couldn’t handle being a wolf. He struggled with it and he did kill a few innocents, including a girl that he was interested in. He didn’t want you to know what he had become or the things that he did. He felt that he was no longer who he use to be and that he became a disgrace.” He said.
He didn’t want to stay long on the path that had been presented and brought forward as parts of him on some days still felt the same way. He didn’t want to be a wolf. He didn’t want to lie, dangerous, or even a disgrace. He knew if it wasn’t for that year apart and the person that helped him change he wouldn’t be standing where he was. He had to focus on the now and the future. He had to try and push back the past and the thoughts that came with it. He quickly pushed them back as he turned back to Kylie when he noticed that she was shaking. It wasn’t cold out, not yet so he knew that she was going through shock as the devastating news pa*sed over and through her.
He felt his heart breaking as he watched her. He wished that there was some way without him moving or actually speaking that he could tell her that he was still with her, that he was sorry. “I’m sure if he could have he would have returned... I know that many times he looked for a solution, something that could even kill the wolf inside of him. He tried and did many things but always failed or he was caught just in time and stopped...until the day he was left alone. He loved you very much. I’m sure he would have swapped places with anyone as he didn’t ever want to hurt you. He spoke highly of you.” He told her in more soothing tone but his voice wasn’t allowing him to be as soothing as he had wanted or hoped for. He nodded slowly, “You are very welcome. If you need anything please let me know.”
He glanced away for a moment, “It would be in your best interest to seek out Shane.” He said. “Shane knows more of his final days and I’m sure the boy has much to say to you on his behalf. He does need someone from his past back in his life.” He added. Smiling faintly as he looked to her and knew she was trying to remain strong, “Please, call me Kestrel.” He said, “Don’t hesitate to come by to talk.” He watched for second then moved towards her and took her carefully to have her sit back down. “You didn’t look very stable. Is there anyone I can contact to come get you?” he questioned. “He didn’t hold anything against you and he did forgive you for everything.” he added.

Kylie just stared out in front of her as she sat on the bench this could not be happening to her she just lost her family and all hopes of having her brother back. She wanted to scream and yell but all she could do was stare at the flowers “It was nice of you to come find me and stopping your work just to inform me of what is going on” she said wiping the tears away from her eyes. She was not going to seek out this boy she didn’t want to know how he suffered it would just make all this worse she just sat there while part of her slowly died and disappeared. He was part of her like she was him and now she was the only one left she honestly didn’t think she could do this without him but she had babies she had to think about. Would that be enough to keep her going? She didn’t know. Clueing in that he was talking again she sighed and shook her head “There is no one, you don’t have to stay. You did your good deed for the day” she said in a harsh tone.
She was still shaking as she shook her head and sighed again trying to remember to breathe. Why did he have to do this to her way didn’t he talk to Percy about it and then Percy could have told her in the safety of her own home now she had to find her way home without getting herself hurt or worse. Suddenly a sharp pain like a knife was just put in her heart happened and she leaned back and glared at him with deadly eyes “The only person you can get me is my brother. You are lying….He can’t be….” Looking up into his eyes she got caught by them they were the same as hers blinking a little she sat up and continued to stare at him. Could it be? Was she seeing her brother…she moved again and smirked as she thought about the nickname he was calling her. Only Tyler knew that name no one else and he didn’t want to tell anyone because he wanted it and no one else to use it.
“I know you are still with me” she said suddenly without thinking but covered it with “I know he is still with me he will always be with me in spirit. You know we are naming our son after him? So I’ll just have to take comfort in that” she leaned closer to him and whispered “Next time wear contacts or don’t let me look in your eyes” she stated as she leaned away from him and sat there thinking “He didn’t need a solution he should have trusted that he was welcome to come to me and I would not have thought any different” she stated in a matter of fact tone. “He was stupid to go that path alone but I forgive him and will always love him” she stated before looking at him. “If this is the road you want to go on I’ll play along” she said as she turned her head away.
