::Xyliana:: A Candle Lit Dinner

Eddie walked down to the Quidditch Field. He had an idea and he wanted to ask Xyliana to the House Unity Dance. And not only that but to be his girlfriend. He had thought of having a nice dinner at the Quidditch Field. He also thought no one could say that they had a candle lit dinner on the Quidditch Field. He smiled at the thought that he thought it was the best place to do a such thing. He was wondering though if Xyliana would say yes. He was shy of asking her out a lot of times and Sevvie kept telling him to ask her out before it is to late. And then he wondered if Lorcan was okay with it. Shaking the thought of Lorcan beating up away from his mind he finally got there.

He started with streaming lights everywhere along the walls of the stadium. He smiled at the sight. He hoped she found this some what romantic. He had walked the grounds and found lots of flowers and put them up with the lights and they had looked wonderful. I hope they don’t mind I used these flowers? he thought to himself. He of course never asked them and also he didn’t care about what they had to say. He went and found a table and put in the center of the field and he put a midnight blue table cloth over it. He had put another cloth over it that gave it a starry silvery look to the table cloth. He put two candles on either side of the table and put a vase of yellow carnations in the center. He hoped that she would like the Carnations.

All he had left to do now was to wait for her. Walking to the entrance of he Quidditch Stadium he closed the doors so the surprise wouldn’t get ruined at all. He wanted to surprise her so. He had gotten the idea from someone else but decided not to use the lake idea. He wanted to be creative and well using the Quidditch Stadium was creative enough and the idea came to him just like that. He didn’t mind no music but thought of one of his friends who knew how to play the flute went and asked him to hide in the stands and he will get some of the dinner they were having. He decided spaghetti and meat balls for it’s the most romantic meal he could think of. Serving up his friend who ate pretty quickly started playing the flute and Eddie stood there wearing his black jeans but a nice navy blue top with a white button down shirt over the navy blue shirt. His hair actually combed to look nice.

Xyliana listened to her hufflepuff friends talk about how stupid and foolish she was for going to meet the Slytherin named Edward, No good would come from this one had said as she stormed out of the room. Xyliana laughed as she ignored what the other girls said about him. Nothing they could say would stop her from going she just prayed he wasn’t going to talk about the Slytherin gang or push her into joining that was something her brother didn’t want to see and although she did act more like a Slytherin she did saw a lot of what a hufflepuff. Taking a breath as she straightened out her brand new sun dress that Lorcan had gotten her for her birthday.

This could be it he might just ask her out and she really wanted to say yes, no one knew she had a crush on Eddie because she would ignore him or run and hide behind her brother. Xyliana smirked she was not going to run away this time she was going to go and see him, hang out with him and have fun for once. Taking another deep as she finished her hair, her siblings always laughed at her for her fancy styles but she didn’t care she loved her hair and took pride in it, never letting anyone tough it after her brother cut it all off when she was younger.

It was time there was nothing more she had to do to get ready she had to go now but why was she not moving? Was it really okay to go see this boy alone? Was she really scared? Xyliana wiped a few tears away she didn’t realize how hard going to and talking to a boy was. Xyliana had to be strong and get though this and she couldn’t be weak he was after all a Slytherin and would not like a scared little girl. Walking out of the Hufflepuff common room she said goodbye to Rehema as she disappeared in the school’s hallways. No one was in the halls today so it made the walk to the entrances a fast and quick one.

Looking around she sighed still no one around to stop her deep down she didn’t want to be stopped she was just scared and worried that she was going to be walking right into a trap Eddie was a Slytherin why would he would to see her? Shaking her head she had to be brave and strong and hope that this was not a trick if it was she would be crying to her brothers later about it. Suddenly she took off running towards the pitch only to stop at the doors to catch her breath, looking up suddenly she fell back as she was surprised to see Eddie standing in front of her. “Eddie!” she almost screamed.

Eddie was nevous and he has never been so nervous his whole entire life. He had no idea why but he was nervous about her. He had seen her hide or run in the other direction. He himself would hide among the crowd of students if he saw her coming or ignore her and talk to Sevvie. Then why all of the sudden the urge to ask her out? Well for one thing Sevvie told him not to sit around and wait other wise he would miss out. And then he thought what would happen if he fell head over heels in love with her and they broke up. He had to shake that idea from his head.

Just standing there waiting seem like hours. He stood there thinking about happy thoughts. Especially one that had involved Sevvie and Scor. They were at a beach during the summer five years ago. They all pretty much finished up their first year of Hogwarts and the trip was an award for getting good grades that year. They sneaked away from their parents only to find some actual fun and found Fire whiskey and loved the first taste. Well he drank it but he doesn't remember his cousin or Scor drinking it or not. He wasn't drunk he just drank one cup and then they went to ride on some rides.

Still thinking about the memory he snapped out of it when he heard his name from a very familiar voice. "Xyliana!" he said with a smile on his face. "I'm glad you can make it tonight." she said with a smile on his face. He wanted to ask her right there and then but wasn't sure how that was going to do that at the moment. He looked at her and checked out what she was wearing. "You look really nice!" he said with a smile on his face. Instead of tellling her what he was going to do he opened the door and stood to the side. "My lady your table awaits!" he said with a smile.

Xyliana blinked as she looked around so far it seemed alright but she was still scared, Albus could be hiding anywhere just waiting for her to move in closer. Liana stopped in her tracks for a moment and looked around a second time that’s when she noticed the table and the candles she smiled suddenly crossed her face and she seemed a little bit at ease as she listened to him. With the way he was talking maybe just maybe she had nothing to worry about. My Lady? What was that all about did someone tell him that she liked him? Was this really happening? Liana’s mind was racing and her heart was beating so fast.

“Thank you for inviting me everything looks so nice” she said in a sweet tone still not sure what to say or do and still fighting the urge to run, she just had to remember what Lorcan said to her she could like and date him even if he was in the gang but that doesn’t mean she had to join the gang. Oh god was he doing this to get her to join the gang? She didn’t have a side and wanted it to stay that way, she didn’t want to get into that battle.

Taking a seat she looked at him in shock as she finally decided that she was going to say more. “Eddie what did I do to deserve all this?”She asked in a confused and wondering tone. She was still under the impression that she was part of a big prank and any minute she was going to take a lot of water balloons and it was going to ruin her dress. The one thing she knew about him from being in almost every cla*s with him and Albus for 6 years was that they loved to trick people into traps.

Eddie stood there and watch her reaction for a moment. He was glad that she was surprised but something about her he could tell that she was a bit scared. He didn't know why or what she could be scared of. She shouldn't have to fear anything. But being a gentleman he was trying to be he decided not to push it. He let it go and let her find things out.

"Your welcome. You look very pretty tonight!" he said with a smile on his face. He totally thought that she was gorgeous in her choice of outfit. She really did look really pretty in green sundress. He had to smile though and couldn't really find words to speak at the moment. He couldn't help but look at her beauty. He thought about Lorcan for a moment and he didn't like the thought so he shook it out of his mind silently. He hoped she didn't noticed that he was thinking just then.

"Just by being beautiful and don't worry there is no Sevvie around. If he was here I'd tell him to beat it!" he said with a smile on his face. "Sevvie and I are usually hip to hip but he isn't allowed here. Not at the present moment." he said for a moment. "There is one thing that I do that he doesn't do and I got talked into it by my own twin brother. I'm a chaser for the Slytherin team!" he said with a small smile. "I hate to admit this but I'm actually enjoying Quidditch. Just don't tell Jedrek." he said with a smile. "Enough about me though." he said with a small smile. "How's your day andwouldyouliketogotothehouseunitydancetogher?" he asked her pretty quickly in the end.
