Dakota sighed as she dropped her bags in the front room as she looked around the empty mansion. It shocked her to see the house so dark and empty with no signs of life, what was she doing in one single moment she broke her own heart and let the only person she ever trusted go. Her life was just one big empty hole now she just knew that she was going to end up like her mother a cold heart b*tch that played with men just to have fun. This could not be happening to her, her family hated her, her loving boyfriend was now an ex and her beautiful son was a Malfoy and she probably was never going to see him again. School and making a career for herself was all she had now.
Walking around the first floor she sighed the house elves were gone and there was a year’s worth of dust covering everything, was it even worth cleaning? Was it even worth living another day without her son or Scorpius? Kota had no one to blame but herself she was the one that let him go. She was the one that moved out of the manor knowing that she was going to continue to struggle and lose it. Lucius didn’t deserve to have a mother like this. She had only one thing to do and that was to shut her heart down and become cold hearted and heartless. If Scorpius didn’t love her after all of this she was not going to let anyone in her heart belonged to Scor and that would never change. He was the only one that knew her inside and out. God she was so stupid to let him go but what could she do? Holding her heart she started to cry again her tough outlook had been lost the minute she let him go, when in reality all she wanted to do was grab him and yell ‘NO, PLEASE DON’T’ she couldn’t she had to be an adult about this and let him go and see if he heart true lied with her.
This strong girl was breaking with every hour she was away from the safety of the manor and her son. She got so used to being there with all of them that being here alone now was scaring her she didn’t think she could do this. Falling to her knees in the middle of the dusty living room she let the tears fall not knowing who to turn to or where to go? Or if she even had money for food sadly to her dismay her mother did not leave her any money Kota was truly in alone now she just knew that soon the gang members that were close to Scor would start to come after her to attack her for leaving him. She really didn’t care as long as it was her and not him they were after. Picking herself off the floor she sighed as she wiped the tears from her eyes. Maybe there was some money in her mother’s room? Walking though the house and up the stairs she stopped as she sat on the stairs as it starts to hit her she is alone now.
“Mommy…I need you”

Another night out on the streets. He was beginning to change. He was no longer the Miles Bletchley people would recognize from sight. Facial hair was starting to grow and because he couldn’t shave, it just got longer. The clothes he wore were dirty and torn. He was in desperate need of a shower, but that wasn’t going to happen. Once school started back up, he would shave and everything will be normal again or as normal as his life had been after his dad died. Miles was dying to see his beautiful girlfriend. It had been so long.
An owl dropped a letter in front of him and picked it up. He ripped it opened and read the letter. It was from his sister. He missed Dakota, but he kept reminding himself that she was happy. She was with the man that ruined her life and the baby that should be dead. Miles wanted to murder them. Kota had a life in front of her, she would’ve succeeded and now, she couldn’t. That was probably what Malfoy wanted. He would have to murder him when he murdered the baby. He didn’t want to be an uncle and didn’t Kota to be a mother. She was way too young.
He walked into a building and sent off a reply to her letter. He didn’t like going to their parents’ house. All he could remember were the bad memories. There were no happy ones that he knew of. Okay, he knew that he used to duel with his father and he’d been taught all about the dark arts from him and they were good ones, but he barely remembered what happened those days. His happiest memory was the day that he met Remmy. Miles had loved her from the beginning.
He received the response back from her and knew from that letter that he was going to go back and see her. She no longer had Malfoy or the baby. He grinned. Well, they would live for now. There was no reason to kill them if they were no longer ruining her life. If they interfered again, he would kill them. Miles sent an owl back and walked to their old place. He remembered the last time that he had been there. He had a mental breakdown, wanted to die, and he had spent two weeks at home with his mother, wishing all the time that it had been his mother and not his father that had died by the aurors that horrid day. His father wouldn’t have died in the war. They could’ve been a family.
It was a long walk, but he finally made it. He sighed as he looked at it and then continued to the front door and walked in. “Kota?” he called hoarsely. He hadn’t had anything to eat or drink all day. This life wasn’t good for him, but he had nothing else. Miles would go and live with Rehema, but he didn’t know where she lived. He finally saw Dakota sitting on the steps and stood next to her. “So, did he break up with you or vice versa?”

Kota looked up to see her little brother she was instantly in tears realizing where he had been, she never wanted his life to end up this way and felt bad that it was all her fault for leaving. She thought about it for a minute and took a deep breath before speaking. “You look like hell Miles” she said with a slight smile of course she didn’t look any better for she had been in the same spot for two days or so. All her friends had come begging her to go back to the Manor for safety but she just couldn’t right now. She knew though if Scor came here himself and asked her back to the manor she would go.
“I did it this time, he has feelings for Dannie Wood so I am giving him time to figure out who he loves more me or her” she stated as tears rolled down her cheeks, what was worse was others were saying that she did all this to ruin his life and to make it so that he was his. Kota sighed she was only fifteen she couldn’t plan that if her life depended on it, but of course that didn’t matter she was the bad guy just like Callie was the bad guy for breaking up with Albus. Why was it always the girls fault? She didn’t know and didn’t care.
Looking at her brother with sad and weak eyes she showed him how broken she was over all of this, this was the first time she ever let her little brother see her this bad but now that she was here and Scorpius was not coming she needed the only other person she could trust and that was her brother. “Miles I am going to sell this house and buy a new one, you and Remmy can have it as long as I can come and visit you. I don’t know what’s going to happen honestly but I want you to have a home I am trying to get Annabella out of there as well as the littlest one I want them to have a house they can go to one that is not going to remind them of our parents, I think both of us are carrying that pain for the rest of the family”

Miles rolled his eyes when she said that he looked horrible. Well, of course he did. He lived on the streets, eating whatever he could get out of the garbage and with only a piece of cardboard over his head. He dreaded rain because it meant that he’d have to find another cardboard afterwards. The rain destroys what he calls a house now. Plus, with other homeless people needing the same thing, it was very hard to find one available. Miles stopped thinking about that and looked his sister up and down. She didn’t look much better than he did. “You don’t look much better,” he commented. “And a few more months in the conditions that I’ve had to deal with, you’ll be in the same shape as I am. The streets are ruthless. They turn a person wild.”
So she had broken up with him. It was a good thing, though. It may upset her, but he’d rather Kota leave him until she knew that he loved her than staying with him and he not love her. She would be hurt more if she stayed. Miles didn’t want his sisters hurt. They meant everything to him. They were the only ones that kept him sane. Well, them and Rehema. He couldn’t forget about her. She was his everything. “If it helps, I hear Andy Wood has a crush on you. Maybe you could go out with him.” She probably wasn’t ready, but anything to keep Scorpius and the baby out of the picture. Miles wondered what Scorpius would do if he heard that Kota was dating Dannie’s brother. He wanted to laugh at the thought, but he didn’t. He quickly pushed it out of his mind so he wouldn’t laugh at it.
So she wanted to buy them another house. Miles would live there, as long as he had Rehema. The only reason he didn’t stay at his parents’ house was too many memories in this place and for him, they were bad ones. He couldn’t really remember any good times here. They were all before his dad died and he’d been too young. Everything was bad. “Why wouldn’t you stay? You want a place for us to stay, but you need to think about yourself too. Would you live on the streets while we live here? I’m not going to let you do that. The streets are no place for you, Kota.”

Dakota nodded she understood that staying in this house alone with no money for food was going to get to her, but herself and Miles are too young to work so how would they get the money they needed to survive? Maybe she would just sell the house and get a new one for her sisters and brother and then just go somewhere for a while. This was so hard she never thought for a minute that she and Scorpius would not be together; or that she was now only allow to see her son if she went to the manor, but how could she go back she just ripped her own heart out and tossed it away. “I was so busy caring for Luke that I forgot to eat most the time” she admitted as she looked at her hands and sighed. “I am sorry you lived on the streets I so badly wanted to come with me but you seemed as if you hated me” she said as suddenly looked at him.
Dakota shook at the thought of dating another man she didn’t think she should start seeing others she still loved Scorpius and probably will always love him after all before this she thought she was going to be his wife when they got older. Was that still going to happen? Tears rolled down her eyes as she thought about it she really was stupid leaving the manor she was really stupid leaving her son. “I don’t know what to say about that….Miles it would be like you and Remmy breaking up and you looking at other girls right away…I can’t I still love him deeply..but I could talk to him…it be nice to have friends.” She said as she looked around. Kota knew this house had to go Miles hated it and she cried everything she was in it and there was Annie she needed a home too and not just a bedroom.
Dakota looked at him he was right the streets would eat her up but she just couldn’t stay around people right now, it was even hard being here with Miles but she needed him and could not leave his side right now. “Miles I think I should check into a hospital or something”

Miles looked around the old house. It hadn’t been the same since his father died. He’d been there last year and it just felt different. Now it would be just as different as their mother was now gone. He wished that his mother hadn’t escaped from Azkaban. She’d be alive if she hadn’t. Still, he did like the time the two had before the war broke out, even if most of it was spent hating her because she was with Rancer. Miles shook his head when he heard what she said. “Caring for a baby doesn’t mean that you could neglect yourself.” Still, now it gave him more reason to hate his nephew. “I hate Kai, not you. Why would I hate you?” He hated the choices that she made. Getting pregnant at Fourteen wasn’t very responsible.
She had a point there. Nobody could go out with someone for awhile, love them and then look at other people right away. If Remmy broke up with him, he’d hate it. He’d probably never get over it. It could be that way with Kota. “I understand that. It’s hard to get over a first love. But, yeah, talk to him. Try to get him in the gang.” The gang already had more members than the DA, but they could always use more. Everybody had to be on their side and he was determined to make it happen.
He looked at her with concern when she mentioned the hospital. She was probably suffering from malnutrition as well as some other things. A hospital was probably the best place for her. She could get better there. “You shouldn’t have starved yourself.” Miles held his hand out for her. “Come on, I’ll take you.”
