Ayden and recieved a small note from Severus Potter earlier in the day. He said he wanted to ask her something, and to meet him in the common room at midnight. Ayden replied that she would indeed meet him.
She went to bed early but, found she couldn't sleep. Ay didnt want to sleep past midnight. Instead, she laid there in bed, trying to think up all the possible questions Severus would ask. Her first immediate thought was of course, the gang. Even though she was feeling the peer pressure to join - her brother didn't want her to join. He wanted her to join him in the DA but, Ayden wanted nothing to do with either group.
When Ayden was sure it was close to midnight, she slipped out of bed - putting a soft, pink, bathrober over her night gown. She walked into the common room, finding it empty and dark. Aye took a seat on the couch, and as she did the fire roared to life in the fireplace. Warming herself by it, Ayden looked around. There was only a few minutes until midnight. She grew more anxious as the seconds ticked by.

He’d wanted to ask her out for awhile, but never found the courage to. It was so weird how he was suddenly so shy around girls and it wasn’t all of them either. He found it easy to be with Bella and Shayleigh, but they were his friends. It was just girls that had the potential to be his new girlfriend. Ayden definitely did, but he had to get the courage to ask her out first. Severus can’t look at it as getting a new girl, as he was only interested in playing the field and not finding a new girlfriend, but he couldn’t help but think that if things went well…
It was about midnight. In fact, it was very close to midnight. He had to get to the room before Ayden thought that he was standing her up. No, not standing her up, but forgetting about her. Severus abandoned what he was doing and ran down the steps. He had been about two flights above the dungeons. There was no way that he would get there by midnight, even if he did run. He didn’t slow down, though. He pushed professors out of the way and jumped over a step every once in awhile. Severus really had to get there.
He didn’t know how he was going to ask when he got there. He didn’t even know if he was even going to be able to ask her. He might just freeze up as soon as he saw her. Severus knew that he was ready to be out with another girl, but he wasn’t used to asking any one out. It had been over a year since he last asked anyone. He bit his lip as he finished the steps and walked quickly to the common room.
Ayden was already there. He smiled at her as he went over to fireplace and sat down. “I know I’m late,” he said. “I lost track of time.” Severus paused and decided to just jump right into it. It was better to get the rejection over with and he was sure it would come. “I was wondering if you would go out with me sometime. Just a date, nothing else.”

Ayden sighed, and suddenly felt self concious. How did she look? There was no sign of Severus yet so, she skuttled over to a mirror. It was the middle of the night so, she didn't look as perfect as she wanted. She looked...tired. Good thing she could use magic, if only her wand wasn't all the way in the girls dorms. Aye frowned, and smoothed out her hair. She thought she looked a little better. It was as good and it was going to get.
Ayden skipped back over to the couch and sat back down. She again, tried to think of what to expect. The Gang kept coming to mind. She shuddered. What if she did ask? Would she be forced to join or could she just refuse? This was something Ayden and thought about over and over. She felt she was just too young to make such a decision like that.
Aye heard the door that led to the common room swing open. She turned her head and smiled to see Severus had arrived. Ayden shrugged, she had noticed the time at all. She was about to answer, when he asked her on a date. Ayden immediately blushed without even giving an answer. "Sure," she said softly. Her brother might get mad but, oh well. He didn't have to know about it. Besides, it was one date - not like there was anything more to it.
