Dannie walked around the school with a lot on her mind and she knew she had a lot on her mind. First was actually still about her mother. She missed her a lot and it showed and Scorpius knew it too. She knew he knew that she misses her mother. Second was she knew some of her siblings wouldn’t believe that she left the DA just after the war. She was really mad at her father and she knew it. Someday she knew she would forgive him but at the present moment she wasn’t ready and avoided her father as soon as he could. To her he was a wimp at the moment for not being able to protect her mother. She wondered at the moment things were really okay. She looked around and saw some first years and she walked up behind them and shouted ‘BOO’ which made the first years run and scream. She had to laugh at that but it wasn’t an evil laugh it was a laugh that she would have given her father when he had tickled her. As soon she remembered that she stopped laughing.
Continuing on her way she thought more and more about why she seemed like she wanted to join the Slytherin Gang. The next thing she knew was that she heard Scorpius’s voice inside her head saying ”I guess the Gang is better because you don’t have to put on an act. The Gang accepts you for you not who your family is or was. The Gang is about expressing who you are. We have a lot of fun, they pull pranks and jokes. Sure sometimes people get into a little trouble but I always do what I can to help them out or at least straighten out whatever it was that got all messed up. The members of the gang looks out for each other. No one is left alone and someone always has your back. If you need a friend to help you with something then you’ve always got that. If you are having a rough time at home or just need a break from the sh*t then the members got your back, they’ll pa*s up a room for you to go that is safe. Everyone puts something into the gang will get the same thing out of the gang.” the voice in her head said. And there was one more thing added to the thought. ”The gang is just like a really big family.” she heard his voice say. She smiled and she realized that she really liked his voice. It sounded very comforting to hear inside his head.
She went on her way to the library. She thought she may as well find a good book to read. There sure was a lot of history to read about. But that was she didn’t want to read. She wanted to find a romance book to read. She opened the doors to the library and walked around a lot of the shelves that were full of books. She finally found the section that held the books that weren’t school related. “Now this is what I am talking about.” she said with a smile on her face. She couldn’t really find anything to read at all. On a book of the cover showed a boy who reminded her of Cory Simpson for some reason. And she thought back to the visits she had with his mother, Samantha, who was a very nice lady. “Man I miss the summer!” she said with a frown on her face. Taking the book she found an arm chair and sat down in it with her legs over the arm rest. She turned to the first page and began reading the book.

Cory had been back to school for a week. He was finding it pretty hard to get back to the swing of things. He didn’t want to be in Hufflepuff anymore and he really didn’t want his dad to be minister anymore. He didn’t want anything to happen to him and he hasn’t slept since being back because he was scared of something happening to him. Cory sometimes thought of writing to his father, asking if he could be home schooled. That way, he wouldn’t have to worry so much. He knew that his father was safe. He didn’t think that he would go for it. Cory was stuck at a school that he didn’t want to be at, stuck in a house that he didn’t want to be in. He was still a daddy’s boy, but he was growing up. It wouldn’t be long before he became a sullen teenager.
He’d been out on the pitch, flying around. He’d tried out for the team this year, but didn’t make it. He had practiced with Wood, thinking that he might actually get on the team if he did. Now he had to wonder if Wood even knew what he was doing. He probably didn’t. That could be why he didn’t make the team. This year, he would practice on his own. He didn’t think that Wood was as good a quidditch player as people state; at least not as good as he used to be. Cory was sure that he could do better without that old, depressed man teaching him. Yes, Wood was depressed. That was very easy to see. It had to do with losing his wife and his children turning against him. He could see it, no matter how they try to hide it. Every child turns against their parents in the end. He knew that he would in a year, if not sooner. Cory was losing his patients, about ready to scream at his dad to give up his job.
He walked into the school, straight to the library with his broom over his shoulder. He didn’t know why he was headed in that direction. There was no reason why he needed to go to the library, he just felt like going there. Maybe he could find a quidditch book that his dad didn’t give him that could give him some tips on becoming a better flyer. A bigger Hufflepuff stepped into his path and grabbed his broom. Why are you with a broom? You aren’t going to make the team, ever! You suck! Cory laughed. “Wood ruined my chances this year. I’m not training with him anymore. He sucks at Quidditch. I will make the team next year and that’s a promise.” Cory grabbed his broom and walked off. He saw Dannie Wood sitting in an armchair and he wondered if she heard what he said about her father. He nodded to her in greeting and headed to the Quidditch section.

Dannie was enjoying the book she was reading. And she loved every word there was. She couldn't believe how the girl didn't want to be with the guy who was giving her everything. He even had told her if he could he would buy the whole world for her. "I wish I guy could buy me the world." she said with a sigh on in her voice. She really wished a guy would buy her the world because then there wouldn't be a Dark Lord.
The next thing she heard was a commotion between to Hufflepuff's. She nodded at Cory who acknowledged her and she didn't mind what he had said about her father because she completely agreed with him. She got up and walked over to the Hufflepuff who was being mean to him. "Hey you!" she said tapping the guy on the shoulder. The guy turned around and just looked at her. "I would really apprechate it if you didn't pick on Cory. Why don't you pick on someone your own size!" she said told him and just walked away. "Oh yeah what is a little Gryffindork going to do?" the guy said to her. She turned around and looked at him. "Just leave him alone and I would not mess with me otherwise my brother and Scorpius would be after you in a second." she said with a smile and the guy turned around and ran away as soon he heard the name Scorpius. She let out a small laugh. She wouldn't have actually send them in his direction.
Turning around she went to find the Quidditch Section. Walking from every asile she finally found him. "Hey Cory you okay?" she asked him for a moment. She had wondered how he was handling it for a moment. "And I don't mind what you said about my father because it's true. He sucks at Quidditch. He was alright before my mother had pa*sed away but ever since then he went down hill." she said with a small frown. "It seems like my father is turning into a wimp and I don't admire him for that!" she said with a small smile on her face. "What has been going on lately with you? I know I haven't seen you around lately!" she said with a small smile.

During the fight, Dannie came over and began sticking up for him. It wasn’t something that he wanted. He didn’t need people fighting his battles for him, especially when they weren’t going to hurt him. He knew the hufflepuff that started it and he wouldn’t hurt Cory because of who his father was. He shook his head when she mentioned Scorpius. His father didn’t approve of her being friends with the guy. For him, it didn’t really matter unless if she joined the gang. He wouldn’t join the gang and not just because it would disappoint his father.
After looking at one book, he put it back on the shelf and picked out another one. “Don’t mention that to my father. He still thinks highly of him.” Cory had seen the change in Oliver after the loss of his wife. He didn’t know how his dad couldn’t have seen it. It was pretty obvious. “My dad must be blind for still thinking your father is good. I’ve actually seen the change in all of you guys after the war. Andy’s addicted to paint and you like Scorpius. I don’t really understand that.”
He thought he saw Kai sitting at a table and he stared for a minute, but then the girl turned and he realized that it wasn’t her. He really wanted to see Kai, but he hadn’t in ages. She must be trying to avoid her siblings. “As for me, nothing much. I’m still in the army, but I might quit. What about you? Are you in the gang?”

Dannie looked at Cory for a moment. “I won’t tell mention that to your father. But my father is a drunken idiot for drinking his life away after losing our mother. He doesn’t realized how much he’s going to lose or how much he’s going to miss out on. He’s going to miss me turning fifteen this year and he’s most definitely going to miss out on me missing playing Quidditch which really bonded us together. He doesn’t realize how much I miss him Cory!” she said for a moment. When she heard him say that Andy is addicted to paint she was surprised a bit. But she had to smile when he said he didn’t understand that. “Well Cory it began a year ago in Moaning Myrtle’s Bathroom. He was well down and I was there for him well I pretty much just listened to what he had to say. And I wasn’t scared of him for some reason. And he was there for me when I needed someone to talk to. Someone who had well lost someone as close as to my mother.” she said with a small frown.
Dannie looked at him for a moment. “Can I ask you what has the Army done for you?” she asked him for a moment. “I know when I was in it and needed someone to talk to no one was there for me to talk to unlike Scorpius.” she said with a small smile. “Well actually he wanted to see me but couldn’t because people kept stopping him. My brother Crew well on the other hand is glad that I had quit the DA but never figured that I would want to quit because apparently I’m the goody-two shoes in the family. Always wanting to impress the parents. I’ve changed a bit. I’ve never yelled at my siblings and I am still surprised that I yelled at Crew for the very first time in my life and trust me it’s not like me and that actually scared him I think.” she said with a small smile.
“Yes I have joined the Gang. Not because of Scorpius though like most people think.” she said with a small smile. “I’ve joined to get closer to my big brother Crew. I wanted a better relationship with him than it was before my mother had got killed. And I everyday I wish that she wasn’t dead. That she was still alive. Still playing Quidditch with me and dad. I had well decent grades and still do. She was a great lady and I wanted to be so much like her and I also wanted to be like my dad.” she admitted. “But now I don’t want to be anything like him. I don’t even like that he is drinking until he can’t even stand up straight. That is not the person I want to be.” she said with a frown. “I don’t know what I want to do but I do know I don’t want to be like him.” she said again with a frown.
