Liam sat down on the Front Steps in exhaustion, he was worried about his lover Hugo he had been acting so weird lately it made him worry about him there had to be more to it than just Jedrek's group. He knew that so he simply let it go and was trying to find a way to be around his friends well the few he had. So for now he would deal with his life and everything, with a heavy sigh he looked out at the grounds he waas more than anything concerned for Hugo's safety. Liam didn't seem to really be with it right then for now he was so concerned with his lover and all of the others that so many had been harmed by the many deaths this last battle had caused. For now he sat and waited to see what was going to happen with all of the people that were grieving over the losses and their families he was so worried and not sure that he didn't notice that so many people had walked by laughing at him for being gay and with a Weasley.
Liam pulled a book out and started to read to distract himself over all of this, he was trying his best when he was so scared himself. His worries were something he didn't have to worry about with his school and the fact that next year was his O.W.L year for now he kept his nose on the grind stone so for now he kept studying and ignoring all of the laughs and words from all of the people here that made fun of him. He was in love and what more could there be for him? He sighed as he saw a few Ravenclaws, but then he ignored that and sat waiting to see if anyone would choose to speak with him he doubted it though. These people made being gay seem like it was a disease so they avoided being near him.

Julian had, oddly enough, decided that today was one of the select few days where being outside was favorable to being inside. He hypothesized it was simply a human need to go out into the fresh air every once in a while. And so he was heading outside to see what might be going on out there and to get his whiff of fresh air. Then he would probably venture back inside the castle and go back to his haunts in the castle. Perhaps he would go to the library and from there check out a book that would prove an interesting read for the nights ahead. He was basically caught up on homework, which was all too fitting as a Ravenclaw.
So, he had come outside, still slouched and in beat up shoes. Yes, if he could help it he wouldn't wear them at all, but, it couldn't be. So he wore shoes which probably had not been replaced in a while and showed it. He certainly was an odd sight, but most people at Hogwarts should have been used to his lurking presence by now. Or they simply did not care to notice him. Either was fine with him, as he really did not care much about what others thought.
He walked out the main doors of the school, looking about the main steps to see who was gathered. There were a few people around, surprisingly a good deal from his own House. There were others, but today definitely seemed to be the day for Ravenclaws on these steps. There seemed to be groups however, bar one student. From the news and tidbits of information he had gathered about school the boy who was sitting alone was Liam Baddock. He was a year his junior, and was homosexual with the younger of the Weasley siblings, Hugo, who was also a year his junior. They had been the talk of the Ravenclaw Common Room when the news had first come out, and he had heard enough insults and such that he had grown tired and bored of it. However, he carried no bias, and for the sake of being unconventional decided if he must spend time outside he might as well do it with someone else. Liam might be interesting enough to speak with...
He walked over to the boy, who was reading a book, and looked over, leaning over from the step he was currently slouching on to see what he was reading about. To some with personal space issues, it could have seemed quite disconcerting. Not that he ever noticed, nor really cared.... "What topic are you reading on?" he asked suddenly. While he could very well read the page and find out, it was the only way that he could think to spark up conversation. Hopefully it would work.

"Oh you mean this?" Liam asked after he'd jumped at the sound of a friendly voice, he looked over and saw it was one of the Creevey's. It had to be the odd one, cause it was the only one in Ravenclaw that he knew of he knew that he was an ok person cause he hadn't flung slurs at he and Hugo. He smiled a bit as he thought of the funny things that had been said aobut him because he was such an oddball, but for now he would wait and see what was going to happen now. Liam was always intrigued to know what was going to happen with all of this, but for now he looked at him and decided to talk to him about all of this he knew that he would talk to Julian but he knew better than to chat to much.
"Well I'm reading Standard Book of Spells Grade Four." Liam said showing him the book and putting it away, then looked at him and decided to talk him, enjoy himself here today even though as a man pa*sed by them. He simply looked at him with a grin and waited to see what he was going to say next it was interesting to him and for now he could wait to see what he would do with this new found talk about all of this it was sure to be a good talk. "What brought you out here?" He said as he looked at him and wondering over all of the things he could talk to and about this he was sure to find out more about the weirdo of Ravenclaw.
What a thought he was gay and he was thinking this other fellow was gay? He chuckled at himself as he looked at Julian, this would be fun and interesting but for now he ignored all the slurs and words because of his sexuality. It was only when one particularly cruel Slytherin pa*sed by that he even looked up at them, "Watch it Snake, you'll get yours." He snarled but then fell silent as he looked back at the other Ravenclaw about all of this it would be fun.

"Yes that, as I do not see any other reading material present," he responded. He realized he was probably standing in a position that would make the other boy feel awkward, slightly late as usual. Well, for someone who was incredibly bright in academic subjects he could be slow. That, coupled with the fact that most of the time social graces didn't really come into play for him. In any case, he moved, sitting in his customary crouch on the step at a comfortable distance from the boy so as not to make any more awkwardness. He looked over at the other boy so as not to appear rude. When he thought about it, he could put on a somewhat mask of being a more socially inclined person than he was. He supposed this could be one of those times. At least to start.
"A quite interesting text book. There are a number of useful spells that you will learn from it," he said by means of response. He had enjoyed the book last year and some of the spells it had offered, but he was glad to have moved on to the next level now. It always felt good to move on again. When the boy put his book away, he figured that meant he was more interested in talking. Julian wasn't sure if that was good or bad, but either way he certainly had asked for it by approaching him. There was no going back now. The boy also seemed to be interested in what he was doing outside. "Well, as to why I am outside... I suppose every human needs to spend some time outside at some point. Considering Quidditch practice has yet to start, I decided now would be a favorable time to venture out to get fresh air. That is the only reason I have for being outdoors at this time," he responded. It was the truth, bar the fact about Quidditch. Quidditch was not simply a means of getting fresh air, but was quite important to him. It was one of the few things that would get him to run outside willingly and ready to do something. Fresh air had little to do with that.
Julian continued to sit in his signature crouch, falling silent now that he really had no more to say. Until Liam questioned him again or said something he could comment to, he would remain silent. He also vowed to remain oblivious to the slurs flying, as he did not appreciate them and so he would not pay attention to them. Whether Liam was straight or gay had little to do with anything important. Sexuality was hardly a factor that should define someone's social status... So, for now, he would sit.
