Since he was with his sister, Lorcan summoned the knight bus to take them to Diagon Alley. It was the quickest way to get there when you had company. He said that he would buy her an owl, so they needed to get there. Before they left, he had sent a message to Headmaster Longbottom, telling him where they were going and why. They should be cleared for the day, but he left with her before he received a reply back. If Longbottom sent one, the owl would be able to find him.
“So, Sis, what owl would you want?” Lorcan asked, curiously, though he knew he wouldn’t care if they were to spend all day here because she couldn’t make up her mind. “They have a bunch of different types here. It’s better to take your time, so you know exactly what kind of owl to buy. They can’t be returned.” Lorcan looked out the window for a minute, but couldn’t see anything as they were moving too fast. He could understand why people got sick traveling this way, but he kind of liked it. It was fun. He wondered what kind of owl he was going to get. He always liked Tawny Owls.
When the knight bus stopped outside the Leaky Cauldron, he got off and waited for a minute for his sister, then walked into the pub. He nodded to a few people, who seemed to know him, though he couldn’t tell you their names, and continued on his way outside to the back. Lorcan couldn’t remember how to get into Diagon Alley. He had his wand out, but stood there, lost, thinking of how he saw his dad do it when he went shopping for his school supplies before his first year. He finally remembered and tapped the bricks. As he walked through, he looked around. It was weird being here while school was in session. Lorcan made it to Eeylops and held the door open for Jessica.
