Roxy was in the common room, talking to her brother. Actually, she wasn’t talking, just listening to Freddie complaining that his boyfriend was a Ravenclaw and therefore, couldn’t take him to the dance. It seemed like it was such a big issue for him. She had to be glad that Patrick Zabini was a Gryffindor because she could go to the dance and have a wonderful night with the man of her dreams. She checked the time and jumped up. “Sorry, Freddie, I gotta get ready,” she said, quickly and ran up the stairs.
The dress that she was wearing was lying on her bed. She had picked it out because she thought that it was beautiful. Roxy wasn’t too sure if it would look good on her, but she liked it. She hoped that it did. If she took one look of that dress on her and didn’t like it, she simply would not go. She didn’t want to make PJ mad, but she had to look nice and that was pretty hard to do with some dresses. Roxy put the dress on and glad that it looked fairly good on her. Hopefully, Patrick would like it.
She curled her hair and then put a headband in. The curls were loose and hanging down her back. It was a good hairdo for tonight, at least she thought so. What she thought, though, didn’t really matter. She had to make sure that Patrick would like it. Too bad Patrick couldn’t see it before reaching the entrance hall. Roxanne put her makeup on and then her heels.
Running from the dorm, she waved to her brother and headed down to the entrance hall. She looked around, but didn’t see PJ. So she stood there, waiting as patiently as she could for him. She hoped that he would show up soon. Roxanne was ready to get the night started.
