Annabella was getting ready for the dance. She had her make up done and her hair was just the way she wanted it. She had found a blue dress that just brought out her completion very well. She hoped that Albus would like it. She had on white high heels and she just looked beautiful. She walked out of the common room and down to the Great Hall. She decided to wait for Albus there. She wasn’t sure on what was going to happen but she didn’t even mind much. Sure she finally got her dream and this would last her a life time. She had to smile at the thought. Looking around she stopped when she saw Dannie coming down the stairs. She sure did look really pretty tonight. She thought that she was gorgeous. She was happy for her too only because she was in a good mood. She was still a bit upset with her for getting Scorpius. Brushing the thought away she quickly turned around and saw some of her friends.
“Hey you look so gorgeous. That shade of purple looks good on you!” she said when she saw her friend was wearing. “And you look drop dead gorgeous in that red dress of yours tonight.” she said and both of her friends told her they were waiting on their dates as well. “Well I’m waiting for Albus Severus Potter.” she said with a smile on her face. With a few screeches of excitement she let out a smile. “I can’t believe I just got my dream and it’s only for one night.” she said with a small smile on her face. “But this one night can last for a life time.” she said for a moment. “He maybe three years older than me but I don’t care much. I’ll be in my fourth when he is in his last year and he’ll probably have someone near his own age. But then again I want him to be happy!” she told them and they all agreed in agreement.
She was handling this all well. She tried to shoot a glance at Scorpius for a moment but then looked away when she realized that he may not liked to be stared at the moment. She was glad though that he was happy. Her friends dates came and took them away and there she stood all alone and no one to talk to. Which was okay. She started to twirl in circles and watch her dress stretched out around her. She stopped spinning and it came to a stop after a bit. She twirled the other way and it did the same thing. It was her first ankle length dress that she ever owned. And she picked it out with her older sister. She loved Dakota and wanted to be just like her but not having a kid at age fourteen almost fifteen years old. She also thought that Miles would kill her if she was to have a child at her age.

There was no way that he was going to get so dressed up. He would look a little too handsome if he got dressed up and would probably have so many girls staring at him. This night was about Annabella Bletchley. She was too young for him to ever consider dating her, but a dance was okay and he had heard she liked him. Almost everyone told him that, including Miles. Severus was going to give her his full attention tonight and make this a wonderful night for her. At least he hoped that this would be a wonderful night for her.
He put on simple, black semi casual pants and a button down semi casual shirt. He didn’t wear a tie. The top botton of his shirt was left undone and he put on a black sports coat with a pair of black casual shoes. His black hair was a mess and he didn’t bother trying to do anything with it. Severus had learned by now that he couldn’t do anything with it, so there was no point in trying. Besides, appearances didn’t exactly matter. All that mattered was that people had a good time and having a good time had nothing to do with how you were dressed. A person could wear ratty old clothes and still have a good time.
Not really looking in the mirror but knowing that he still looked good, he left the dorm and common room. He didn’t want to be too early or too late. Severus walked slowly up the stairs to the entrance hall, where he stopped and surveyed the area. Annabella wasn’t there, so he walked into the great hall. If she wasn’t in there, then he would wait for her in the Entrance hall. The dance was already starting, slow music beginning to play. Of course they would start the night with a slow song. Severus was going to end up stepping on her feet.
He spotted a girl that looked like her from behind and walked up to her, tapping her on the shoulder and then quickly moving in front of her. “Miss Bletchley,” Severus said, smiling, “you are the most beautiful girl at this dance and I would be honored if you would dance with me.” He was her date, but there was no reason why he should just a*sume that she would dance with him through the whole thing. “But I’m warning you. I can’t dance to save my life.” Severus looked across the dance floor and then back to Bella, waiting to see if she would accept his dance proposal, though he was certain that she would.

Annabella heard her last name and a tap on her shoulder. She turned as he moved to stand in front of her only for her to twirl back to see him standing there. She blushed a bit when he said that she was the most beautiful girl at the dance. She smiled though when he had asked her to dance with him. She was quite happy to be with him even if it was just one night. "I will be honored to dance with you." she said with a smile. "And thanks for the warning." she said for a moment.
She walked towards the dance floor. She stopped for a moment. Why is Eddie dancing with a Hufflepuff? she asked herself for a moment. She wondered if the girl was even a Slytherin Gang member but then shrugged it off. It was his life after all. She had to let him make his own desision. She turned back towards Albus for a moment. "Are you coming Sevvie?" she asked him for a moment with a smile on her face.
She had a lot on her mind and she knew it. But of course she could also feel her heartbeat pound against her chest. She had no idea why it was doing that though. She looked at him for a moment. "You look good by the way. Sorry I didn't mention it sooner but you look handsome!" she said with a smile on her face. His messy hair she didn't mind for she knew what it was like as well. She stood there not sure if he was coming or not.

She was going to dance with Severus at the dance. No, he hadn’t asked her, but she didn’t care. She was still going to go out with him. She was going to be his girlfriend. He just didn’t know that yet. He didn’t know that she was his destiny. Essie had been patient for awhile, allowing him to go out with that Malfoy girl and watched as that girl broke his heart. There was no patience now. She needed to save Severus from heartbreak. She would be the only one that would never hurt him. How was she going to make him see that?
She grinned as she put on a green dress and put her hair back and putting flowers in it. Like any guy, Severus would like a cute girl. He was stuck with an ugly one for about a year and now he would want one that was cute. That was her. She would use her looks, her charm and if she had to, she would slip him a love potion. Esmeralda had this night all planned out. This was going to be her night. She put on her high heels and twirled around a little, smiling at the reflection.
Sure, he had asked Bletchley and this would just hurt her, but who cares? The man needed someone that would treat him like a king and a girl around his own age. She was a fourth year, which wasn’t too much older than Bletchley, but at least she knew how to act like a woman and she knew about love. She decided that she better go before he had a chance to dance with anyone.
Esmeralda ran down the flights of stairs and then walked purposefully into the great hall. She came just in time. She saw Severus and Bletchley and it looked like they were about to dance. She walked over to him and put her arms around his neck. “Come on, Love, let’s dance. I’ll be so much better than the Bletchley girl.”

Severus smiled at her and started following her to the dance floor when she said she would dance, but caught the sight of Eddie and froze. He knew that he liked her, but didn’t think that he would go so far as to take her to the dance. She wasn’t in the gang and he didn’t know if she was in the Army. He didn’t want his cousin dating an Army member. The only reason that he supported Lorcan and Shayleigh was because he knew that he was neutral. He hoped that this didn’t mean that he was losing Eddie. Severus hoped that he didn’t turn his back on them and become an Army supporter.
He shook his head when he heard Bella call him. “Of course, I’m coming. I just got distracted by Eddie.” Tearing his eyes away from his cousin, he began walking towards Bella when suddenly Cauldwell was hanging on him, asking him to dance. Severus pushed her roughly away from him. “I’m not your ‘love’, Cauldwell. I don’t even like you all that much. I wouldn’t dance with you if you were the last girl on earth. I’m here with Bella and she is who I am dancing with.” Severus pushed past her and grabbed Bella’s hand. “Where’s Dannie when a person needs her?” he said, looking back at Cauldwell.
He was sure that only Dannie would be able to get Cauldwell away from them. Severus saw her with Scorpius and knew that they were stuck with Cauldwell for the night. “I’m sorry,” he whispered. “I was planning a peaceful night, but I don’t think that’s going to happen now.” He shot the blonde girl a murderous, warning look that softened when he turned back to Bella. He had seen Miles sitting at a table and began the wheels began turning in his mind. “Do you know who your brother is taking? He’s sitting over there and I was thinking if we could get him with Cauldwell? It might get her to leave me alone.”

Anna smiled when he was coming and she saw him look at Eddie. "Worried about Eddie aren't you?" she asked him for a moment. She too was worried about him as well. "He's your best friend isn't he?" she asked him once more. She could tell that they were best friends and had seen them around acting like fools which was part of the reason that she liked him in the first place. He wasn't afraid to be himself. When she heard Cauldwell come up and started talking to him she had a dirty look on her face.
"I got a name you know Cauldwell!" she said calmly. She hated it when someone calls her 'That Bletchley girl!' like she was some sort of disease. Her brother Miles always protected her and she knew it. She looked over and saw him sitting at a table. She looked back over at Dannie and saw that she was with Scorpius. She looked back at Esmerelda for a moment. "Why don't you go ask that guy that sitting over there at that table who is wearing green suit and ask him to dance?" she asked her politely.
She listened to what Severus had to say to her next. "It's all right. Should have known this was going to happen. It's not your fault." she whispered to her. She looked at him for a moment. "Rehma is a Hufflepuff so he didn't take anyone. He looks like he's just waiting to have some sort of fun though!" she whispered to him. "Why what do you have in mind?" she whispered so that Esme couldn't hear her.

Esmeralda just smirked at Albus as he said that he didn’t like her. He was going to. It didn’t matter that he didn’t like her right then. By the end of this year, he was going to love her and he’d be wondering why it took him so long to realize that. But until he realizes that she was the one for him, she wasn’t going to let him date other people. The other girls might just trick him into loving them. “You will, my Alby. You’ll love me and not think about babies.” Esmeralda said babies as she looked at Bletchley.
She didn’t care what the girls name was. As long as she was her competition, she would always be known as ‘that Bletchley girl’. “Like I care? You’re tricking my Alby into liking you. As long as you do that, you don’t have a name.” Essie looked at the guy in the green suit. He wasn’t as cute as Alby was. There was no way that she was going to dance with him. “Why don’t you dance with him? I’m dancing with my love.” She grinned at Albus and wrapped her arms around him again. “Oh, my sweet Alby, tell this little girl to leave, so we can be alone.”
She looked back at the little girl and smiled triumphantly. She was in Albus’ arms and there was nothing that would get her out of them. “Looks like I win, Bletchley. Go disappear. Alby found a woman. He doesn’t need a little girl anymore.” Esmeralda put her head on his shoulder. She could get used to that. She couldn’t wait to finish school, so she could be with him all the time. “Go run and cry to your brother, little baby. We don’t want you bothering us. And stay away from Alby or I’ll hurt you. Come on, Hon. Let’s dance.” Esmeralda then tried to pull him onto the dance floor. “Come on!”

Albus was getting increasingly annoyed every time Cauldwell opens her mouth. If she doesn’t watch it, she’ll be dead by the night’s end. He’s not going to tolerate someone breaking up the wonderful night between him and Bella. He had asked her to go with him and he was going to dance with her. Now he knew how Scorpius felt with Athena and he was surprised that she wasn’t here, trying to get him to dance with her.
When Bella spoke to him, he grinned at her. “A little. It’s not him being with a Hufflepuff that bothers me. You’re a hufflepuff and I’m with you. I just don’t know her side, that’s what’s bothering me.” Albus didn’t want to lose his cousin and because Eddie was now a Death Eater, if he changed sides, he would get killed. He knows that Percy will murder him if need be. “One of them anyway.”
He put an arm around her shoulder as she spoke to Cauldwell. He looked over at the man in the green suit. “Yeah, he looks like he might want someone to dance with,” he said. “And I’m thinking we can get her to dance with Miles and she could leave us alone.” But that plan was useless once he saw Miles talking with some girl in a mask. Watching them for a minute, he saw the kiss and had to wonder what the kid was doing. “Your brother’s out. He’s with some masked girl, who he just kissed. That better be Remmy in the mask.”
“Alby?!” he shouted, pushing her away from him. “My name is not Alby! And she is not tricking me into liking her. I am dancing with Bella. She is my date. And the only one acting like a child is you!” Albus had a hand up his sleeve, ready to fight off Esmeralda if it came to that. He really hoped that it didn’t. He wanted to get a few dances with Bella before he got into trouble.
He pushed her roughly away from him again and this time, he did pull out his wand. “You didn’t win, you will never win! I will never like you! Leave us alone!” Albus grabbed Bella’s hand and gently walked with her to the dance floor. “This might be cut short for us. If she bothers us again, I’m going to hurt her. That happens, you and I will have to disappear.”
